It's more expensive than our other options however, our product tester said it was well worth the cost since it's sturdy and can be able to withstand the roughest of outings.

Three-wheelers are a great option for a lightweight stroller that can handle more rugged terrain. The Thule Shine was previously a winner in this category. It's a bit more costly than our other choices, but it feels solid, and has a lot of features (car seat compatible! Dual cup holders! which makes it a worthwhile investment. The BOB Sport Utility

The BOB Sport utility is the best all terrain prams stroller to choose if you want to get off the beaten path and exercise. This jogging stroller comes with pneumatic knobby wheels that are ideal for running trails, and the handbrake allows you to manage the downhills. It also comes with a state of the-art suspension system, two-step folding, and a huge cargo basket. If you buy the right adapters you can pair it with a child car seat.

The biggest drawback to this jogging stroller is its weight and size folded. It weighs 25lbs and folds to 17,850 cubic inches, which is around average for this category of strollers. Its size makes it unsuitable for tight turns or small trunk spaces, though it has a small handle near the back of the storage basket that you can pull to collapse it into an upright, compact position.

This stroller is easy to maneuver, despite its size. The front wheel features an locking mechanism that lets you switch it between normal and locked running mode, and the handlebar has adjustable height settings for different parent heights. It has a wide seat that can be retracted to almost flat, as well as an enormous vinyl peekaboo window.

Another major benefit is the Sport Utility's impressive quality that has earned it a rating of 9 out of 10 in this metric. It has a thick aluminum frame with strong connections and has no rough edges or weak stitching. It also has adjustable dampers that help in the smoothness of the rolling.

The adjustable canopy, with its peek-aboo windows and a wide ergonomically-designed handle, provides comfort for both parents. The lockable front swivel wheel on the front can be locked for jogging, and unlocked for strolling. The large storage basket can accommodate essential travel items.

In the Strollers test program of Consumer Reports, the Baby Trend Expedition Jogger does well overall, for its price, and scores higher than many of its competitors in various categories. This includes ease of using the 5-point harness, folding and unfolding, adjusting the backrest, engaging the wheel brakes and infant car seat removal and installation (only for compatible models). It has a simple design, with a single-handed recline that's deep enough for napping. However the canopy cover, which ratchets, isn't easy to fix. It takes about 8 minutes to set up, and the instructions are confusing with multiple languages mashed together and hard-to-understand illustrations.

The only downside for this jogger is its absence of suspension. This means that the ride will be bumpier than other strollers that are all terrain pushchairs-terrain. This could make it difficult for children with small hands particularly if their nap is about to start. It does have air-filled tires but they don't have as much shock absorption as the rubber wheels you find on more expensive strollers.

This is a good option for those who don't want to run frequently but would like to walk across grass and gravel easily and without issues with curbs or other obstacles. It's also a great choice for families with limited space as it folds down into an extremely compact unit. It is lighter than most of the other joggers we've tried and can fit into spaces that some full-size strollers can't.

Another benefit is that it's much easier to carry and lift than the larger joggers we've tried. This is important when you have to lift it in and out of your car trunk regularly or if you're always moving.

If you're looking for the top jogger for any terrain look no further than the Nipper Sport V4. The new version of Out 'n' About's three-wheeled running stroller has been specifically designed for jogging. It has large pneumatic 16'' alloy tyres capable of tackling even the most challenging tracks and paths. The Nipper is lightweight and compact making it easy to transport and fold.

This pushchair is equipped with an adjustable handlebar and front suspension, making it suitable for all terrains. It comes with a removable quilted liner and multi-position recline, as well the safety harness, which is padded to five points and a hinged bar. It also works with travel systems, so you can use it with a Cybex Maxi-Cosi and Be-Safe baby car seat.

This buggy also has an enormous front wheel that ensures an easy ride for the child. Another issue with this model is the absence of a storage basket underneath the seat. It does have a small grocery pouch at the back of the seat, but it wouldn't be large enough to accommodate the size of a large bag for changing. It is extremely easy to open and close, with only two hand-holds needed to release the plastic catches that are on either side of the lower frame. There is a second lock catch on the handlebar in red which can be opened with one hand, making it extremely convenient to use.
