The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive of our review. It does however, have some unique features which make it worth looking into. The X1 Omni is most notable for its massive dock that serves as a charging base for the robot, a cleaning sink and two water tanks of 4 liters. It also houses two bins: a 2.5-liter dust bin as well as an 2.5 dust bin that is 2.5 liters.

The base also has a variety of control buttons that allow you to manually start cleaning and then recall the robot or use the dock's automatic emptying process. Press two of the buttons to switch on the child lock, which is a nice feature for parents who are worried about their children playing with the vacuum.

The Omni Omni, like other robotic vacuums, utilizes its camera to identify obstacles and furniture in its path. It will stay clear of them. This was a rare incident however it was frustrating because the X1 doesn't have an "stuck status" alert on its app.

The X1 Omni isn't able to automatically switch from mopping mode to vacuuming mode during a cleaning session. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad, except that the mopping pad isn't cleaned or dried between uses. This could lead to mildew and mold.

On the bright side the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who dreamed up its modern and sleek base as well as mopping pad. It's a huge contrast to the basic black bases of rivals like Roborock or iRobot. It's also a welcome sight for the market that is dominated by boxy units.
