Path of Exile Item Upgrading

The most effective way to improve your equipment in Path of Exile is through Item upgrades (forum.ressourcerie.fr). This lets you improve it without having to rely on expensive trades or drops. This article will show you how to upgrade your gear.

Upgrades to equipment grant a bonus on the item's stats. This bonus scales with the upgrade component level and rarity.

Components

Upgrade components make your weapons and armour better. They can be found through destroying enemies, buying them from karma vendors, or finding them in items-spheres. They can also be rescued from equipment that contains them, or through an advanced salvage kit such as the Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. Unlike most other items upgrades aren't destroyed when removed from an item.

Upgrade components are mostly used to upgrade an item but they can also be used for other reasons. They can be used to boost the level or experience gained by upgrading existing equipment or weapons. They can be forged for additional bonuses. For instance, a designed glyph will increase the upgrade chance of its target, and a boost upgrade will increase the attack or defense quality of a weapon or armor.

Selecting an upgrade template in the GUI will allow you to connect it to an item. This will show a list of upgrade components that the item can be upgraded to. You can also use the workbench to selecting an upgrade template. In either case, the item will be upgraded once enough upgrade components are gathered.

Each component has its own experience multiplier that affects how much more experience an item receives when it is upgraded with that component. Organic components, for instance have more experience multipliers than mechanical components. Therefore, it is recommended to upgrade with organic components until you have reached the experience multiplier for the next rank of weapon or gear, then switch to mechanical upgrades.

Each item has an upgrade limit number that it is possible to receive. The number of upgrades is determined by the rank that can be upgraded and the type of upgrade for the upgradeable item. The highest level of upgrade is a weapon of tier 10. The most popular weapon upgrade is a tier 6 gun and a armor upgrade of tier 5.

Sets

Rerolling

If a player has enough to reroll tokens, they are able to reroll any item that they've accumulated during the game. If an item is rerolled, it will be replaced with the same level in another set. Reroll tokens are available at the store for a small amount of in-game currency, but they are not refundable. The new item will have the same bonus features as the previous one, but the stats will be different.

Players can change the identification of their equipment as well as changing it's roll by interfacing with a NPC upgrader. This will change the identification from an armored weapon to a weapon, or vice versa, while maintaining its base stats and attributes that are required.
