How to Replace an audi Keys Replacement cost G28 Engine Speed Sensor

1. Engine Speed Sensor
The sensor is located at the edge of the transmission above the flywheel ring gear the G28 Engine Speed Sensor sends signals to ECU pin T55/49 using an uncolored wire. The ECU utilizes this information to regulate fuel and boost. It also sends an indicator to the G5 Tachometer within the instrument cluster.
The sensor is used as a reference point to connect with the G40 Camshaft Position Sensor. The ecu needs to know when the crankshaft is TDC and where the camshaft is so it can start spark and injectors according to the situation.
If this sensor fails, the ECU will display a P00160 error code. This means that the Crank Shaft is out of alignment with the Intake Camshaft. It could also indicate the possibility of a chain stretch or jumped chain link in the upper chain of timing. However the code will not appear on its own, without additional information from other sensors (G4 and G40).
It's a bit tricky to test because there are several pins on the connector, and they all have different functions. The best way to do it is to measure the resistance between the ECU and the sensor. When the sensor is fully operational, it should read about 1000 ohms. If you're experiencing issues with this component, look for evidence of coolant or oil in the connector bay.
2. Injectors
Yesterday accelerating full speed from highway paytoll, i experienced a big cut in power as if the engine was running out of gas or injectors aren't firing anymore. Today, i pulled out the spark plugs, 3 were drenched in gazoline, the 4th one was dry. When i crank the engine without sparks, I put a piece of tissue on top of each injector hole and the 3 that were drenched in gazoline jump out but the 4th stay shut. I tried to test the ground connections of ECU pins 14,30, and 48/55. I got zero ohm. Therefore, i think the issue is elsewhere.
I also tried to reset the PID but without success. The car will start if the G28 is disconnected and runs fine when it is connected, but still has the intermittent misfire issue at higher RPM. The coolant sensor (G62) even when it is unplugged, shows an ice temperature of -49c. I also noticed that the oil gauge in the cockpit shows 2 bars when the actual pressure is zero.
I'm not certain what to do, as i think i've pretty much ruled out everything else. I'm afraid i may have missed something. If anyone has suggestions, please share them! TIA!
3. Fuel Pump
The fuel pump of the g28 receives a signal from the RPM sensor. The GM-style transmitter is the same as the G4 and Audi Key Fob Replacement they both work in the 80, 100, 200, UrS and RS2 cars so you can easily find one at a wrecking yard or at a parts store. It is easy to test them - simply put your DMM into resistance mode and determine the distance between pins 1 and 2 (with the bump at the connector's end facing upwards). They must be infinite Ohms.

Some of the symptoms of a failed G28 sensor include an inaccurate gearbox rev counter, gears shifting quicker than normal and/or a misfire when you're in gear.
