Cyberpunk 2077 Item Upgrading Guide

Item upgrading is a key factor in maximizing the potential of your gear. It allows you to add bonus stats and bonuses on top of your base level item upgrader mod's value.

Each upgrade template comes with set of options that can be set up via the GUI. These options include upgrading reference and upgrading chance.

Upgrade components

The process for upgrading weapons, armor and other equipment in Cyberpunk 2077 has been revamped as part of the 2.0 update. Upgrade components can be found all over Night City, and the item you wish to upgrade must have an upgrade slot available. The game will show a preview of the expected stats for the item after upgrading. It will also show the component or material needed. If you don't have the required level or resource to upgrade an item upgrade the button will say "Blocked."

Weapons and armor can be upgraded along with some trinkets and gathering tools. The upgrade slots on all of these can be filled with different upgrades that give you bonus points or additional effects when the equipment is being used. These upgrades can be obtained by crafting, bought from a vendor, or taken as an incentive.

There are two kinds of upgrades: universal and gemstones. Universal upgrades are comparable to gems and can be used in any equipment. They provide a lower bonus than other upgrade components. They are easy to acquire because they are dropped by enemies and robbed across the globe. Gems however are gained by disassembling items or by completing certain missions.

Upgrades can be removed and replaced with new ones within the weapon's slot. However it will destroy any previous upgrades. Except for glyphs, which can be added to gathering tools, other upgrades are not able to be removed or salvaged once they are placed in an item. Infusions that can be placed in ascended equipment and legendary equipment, and enrichments are only recovered with an upgrade extractor, or by salvaging the item level upgrade using the highest-quality salvage kit, can be replaced at least once every hour.

Recycled Items

During the last two world wars, the scarcity of natural resources led the world to adopt recycling. It is now common to recycle aluminum, paper and plastic and give them a new purpose as something different. Recycling conserves energy and stops carbon dioxide from entering the atmosphere. Recycling is a fantastic way to avoid landfills while also conserving natural resources. However, it is crucial to understand what can be recycled and what can't.

One common error that people make is to put the wrong items in the recycling bin. These waste products not only pollute the stream, but they can also cause damage to recycling equipment. To roll an item again you need to click the dice icon next to the item in your inventory. You can also hit the button on another lobby of a player, and then select "Reroll". After rerolling the item, it will disappear from your inventory.

You can buy rerolls and other in-game items from Sagbe, an in-game Token Shop trader. By redeeming active codes, you will allow you to get free rerolls in Fire Force Online. These codes can be used to purchase a variety of items including Reroll Tokens or Clan Reroll Tokens.

The NPC will display two lines when the upgrade is in progress.
