iRobot With Mop

This model is different from the majority of vacuum and mop combinations in that it doesn't require you to remove the pad to clean your rugs. It's also great at avoiding most messes including dried milk stains, which most robots struggle with.

Its logical navigation system guides in predictable rows of back-and-forth and reliably avoids furniture legs. It's simple to set up and costs less than most competitors.

iRobot Braava Jet 240

The Braava Jet 240 is one of the most affordable robot mops that we've tested and is also one of the most packed with features. It's designed to utilize machine-washable, reusable cleaning pads (two for $20) or single-use Bona cleaning products. The only other thing it requires to function is water, which you fill through an open reservoir that is spout-free and removable located behind the robot. The robot will only mop when the pad is attached and the tank is filled. If you request it to clean with out these two things it will not vacuum.

Setup is relatively straightforward. To begin, connect a cleaning pad to the bot, and push it down until you hear a click. The bot will automatically recognize the type of pad, and will select the appropriate mode. If you are using a damp mopping pad, the robot will use the back-and-forth motion of scrubbing.

We tried the robot in a tiny apartment with tile floors and it did a very good job of picking up dirt and other debris from the floors. It wasn't able to pick up all of it but it did an excellent job of picking up most of the big, sticky messes. It did a good job of cleaning up water spills. However, it couldn't take away some of the more difficult ones.

Its ability to navigate between rooms isn't as impressive. It is able to move around the room well but it isn't able to map out your home like other robots. Its navigation is also somewhat sloppy. We found that it bumped into objects quite a lot, including our cat and feet.

The iRobot Braava Jet 240 is an excellent option for a busy family that wants to keep their home looking great without spending hours on it. It's not as flexible as our top picks but it does a good job in keeping kitchens and bathrooms looking their best.

The irobot series Braava Jet m6 is a mopping robot with some additional features that make it one of the most advanced robotic floor cleaners available. It's capable of vacuuming sweeping and mopping floors on hard surfaces, such as wood, laminate and tile as well as carpets. Its long battery life enables it to cover up to 1,000 square feet in one cleaning session, which makes it ideal for larger homes. The iAdapt Navigation system allows it to navigate around furniture and other obstructions.

Contrary to Roomba robots however, the Braava Jet m6 does not have a separate water tank, making it slightly more susceptible to spills and other messes. However, you can use several IRobot-approved cleaning products to keep the mopping system in good order. The Braava Jet M6 uses hot water for washing its pads, and has a spray nozzle to spray cleaning solution on the surface it's mopping.

Its design is also a bit different from other iRobot products. It has a slightly narrower, more imposing frame, with silver discs in the center that features Home, Clean, Spot Clean and other buttons. While it's not as loaded with as many features as the higher-end models, the m6 still offers excellent navigation and cleaning. The iAdapt Navigation System can detect furniture, obstacles, and other objects, and can automatically avoid them while cleaning. It can even navigate through doorways and tight corners without hitting them. It can also set up "Keep Out Zones", to avoid areas near things like pet bowls or toys.

The iRobot App lets you design a custom cleaning schedule that the Braava will use for the next cleaning task. It will also automatically vacuum and mop after you have selected a particular area of your home for cleaning. Imprint Link is a feature that lets you sweep your entire home without lifting a single finger.

Imprint Link technology by iRobot allows you to combine vacuuming and mopping. The m6 can use its own map that it creates when you clean it to match the maps of your other Roomba and Braava robots in the same room. This feature is currently only available when you manually select mopping in the iRobot App. It's a great feature and easy to use once you get used to it. iRobot is working on an application that will allow all robots to share maps. This will help you save time and effort.

If you're in search of a robot vacuum that also has the ability to mop, you're in the right spot. The dedicated mopping robots from iRobot aren't as efficient, however they're still less expensive than this combo model. The iRobot Combo j7+ is an excellent choice for most households. If you want a cleaner that can do both it's worth the extra cost.
