The best affordable robot vacuum Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great option for those looking for a mid-priced mop and robot vacuum. It gives a great mopping experience, but it lacks the advanced features of its more expensive sibling.

During testing it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats out of medium-pile carpets. It doesn't employ LIDAR, however, as cheaper models do to locate your home.

iRobot Roomba s9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top-rated robot vacuums. It comes with a variety of features and impressive cleaning power, including a dirt compartment that is integrated into the base of charging. It can also learn your cleaning habits and suggest schedules that are automatic to ensure you have a hands-free experience.

Setup is easy, thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automated cleaning process at the click of a button. You can choose an overall clean which focuses on the elimination of larger debris such as rice and cereal. Or you can opt for two thorough mappings to ensure that the entire home is completely cleaned.

This robot vacuum performs well on floors that are unfinished and carpet with a low pile. It sucks up large items and doesn't lose suction as quickly as other models do, and it can even remove pet hair without much difficulty. It has a difficult time with plush or high-pile carpet, but iRobot claims it will get better with future models.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that concentrates on enhancing the edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted D-shaped design, which it hopes will allow it to be able to swaddle furniture and walls. It's a great improvement over the standard hockey puck shape of most robovacs, though we discovered it to be only incrementally better than circular models.

The robo-vac's tank for dust is also larger than many of its competitors, and it takes just two or three cycles to fill it, even with the highest dirt level.

For the mopping device, I was amazed by its ability to remove the tough dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping settings, which are less powerful than high-powered ones, create little noise, so you can work or even watch television without being distracted. If it comes across an object, such as a wall or piece of furniture it gently smacks into it before moving forward.

The Q Revo is unique in that it can run almost completely on its own, with no user involvement. The robo-vac comes with a multi-function dock that can automatically transfer physical trash into the hidden bin and also washes and dry the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app will only notify you when something is wrong like a low clean water tank or a cancelled vacuuming session due to a full bin.

You can also create or merge rooms to customize the way that Q Revo treats your home. This feature is useful if you have different flooring in different areas of your home, or when you have to frequently get rid of clutter like clothes, toys, and books. The robot cleaner with mop vacuum was also among the best robot wet mop performers in my tests and was able to remove debris from carpets as well as hardwood floors with the first pass. It can vacuum up even wet spills. I suggest drying them with a towel before sending it in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum combo with all the features you can wish for. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it comes with a powerful vacuum with powerful suction that cleans carpet and hard floors, and a rotating mop that scrubs tough staining. It also comes with a self-cleaning station that automatically washes and empties mop pads to keep them clean and ready for reuse. It also has a sensor system that detects obstacles more accurately which allows it to avoid falling onto furniture and other objects.

The most significant improvement to the ECOVACS the X1 Deebot is its modern, sleeker design. This is due to the Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best budget robot vacuum mop known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. While still quite massive--it's nearly two feet tall and deep and weighs nearly four pounds--the entire robot and its base are much smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

Finally, the X2 Omni has a more user-friendly app and an assistant voice that works offline, allowing you to manage it even when away from home. It also has a smart routing feature that lets it clean specific areas or rooms of your home, instead of following a predetermined route.

The Omni X2 Omni has the best mopping performance of any robot we've tested, because of its rotating mop pads that remove tough stains and a motor that generates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming capabilities are excellent too and it increases suction when it senses carpet to ensure it does a thorough job. It has a large rechargeable battery that can last up to a week. The mopping feature of the cheap robot vacuum is also very effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a premium mop and robot vacuum that comes with a variety of convenience features that you don't often see on robots of this price. It is able to build precise floor maps, recognize various flooring types and is among the few robots that automatically wash and dry the mop pads. These are nice features but they also place the L10s in the premium category. This could mean it's more expensive than homeowners need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It is tall and slim with a white finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine has an enormous bumper that shields the vacuum cleaner and furniture while moving around your home. Sensors are hidden behind the front panel, which help the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top, there's one button that acts as an on/off switch. This button will activate the vacuum. If you click it again, it will turn it off and send it back to its base station. The circular menu located in the center of the control panel allows users to select cleaning options as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons open the settings of the app where you can customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map your home. Its mops also perform well in removing 98.4% debris from our tile, carpet and wood tests. It was not as efficient at removing sand from the hard floor or quaker oatmeal from the carpet.
