iRobot Combo i5/i5+ Robot Vacuum and Mop is designed to clean your floors in a single pass. Its four-stage cleaning system is more advanced than sweeping and vacuuming. It removes both dirt and microscopic particles to provide you with the cleanest floors possible.

The Combo i5/i5+ is able to be paired with any Alexa, Siri, or Google Assistant-enabled device1, and allows you to begin, stop, and schedule cleaning sessions with just your voice. It can also recognize the unique layout of your home and create a Smart Map for a more efficient clean. The app allows you to create "Keep Out Zones" which stop robots from circling certain areas, like cables, or pet waste.

This Roomba's advanced navigation system combines iRobot's top-of-the-line Precision Vision navigation with a camera that recognizes common objects and obstacles. The cameras enable it to stay clear of common obstacles, like shoes and cords, socks, bags pets toys and backpacks. It then can deploy specific cleaning techniques around these objects. The Combo i5/i5+ features the patent-pending Dirt Detect technology which helps the robot focus more attention on dirty spots.

The robot's auto-emptying Clean Base can hold up 60 days of debris and reduces the necessity for manual maintenance. It also has a recharge-and-resume feature that will send the robot back to its home base for charging whenever its battery runs out. It then picks up where it was when it left.

The i5+ robot is perfect for homes with many rooms. It's however not designed for carpeted or stairways. It has a small capacity dustbin, so it won't clean your entire house when there's lots of pet waste or debris. If you're looking for a Roomba that can take on more demanding environments, look into the I7 or i9 models. These robots are able to mop wet and are better equipped for stairs. With cutting-edge technology and an innovative design, the iRobot Combo i5/i5+ is the ideal option for homes that require both mopping and a vacuum.

iRobot Roomba Combo i7

This premium model comes with high-end features and top-of-the-line performance that should help it draw buyers away from the vast majority of budget competitors. The most notable improvement is the automatic dirt disposal that eliminates the need to dispose of a trash bin after each clean. Another feature is persistent mapping that allows the i7+ to remember the layout of your home and adjust to different floor plans at a moment's notice.

The Combo i7+ has a simple setup process, with a clear on-screen guide that guides you through the initial registration and set-up. Once the robot is registered you can access the iRobot Home app or voice commands to tell it to mop or vacuum. The i7+ can be programmed easily to scheduling cleaning sessions and establish virtual boundaries.

In our tests the i7+ performed well in climbing over floor breaks and rugs effortlessly. It was also able recognize furniture and other obstacles without issue, although it was unable to climb over a 2-inch marble slab that separated the kitchen from living areas. Edge cleaning is better than the results we've seen with budget robot vacuums. It has a good grip around corners.

Once the i7+ has reached its maximum capacity, it returns to its Clean Base and empties its contents. It then prepares for the next clean. When it's time to add cleaning fluid, just hit a button on the side of the robot and the small water tank and dustbin clips open.

The only downside is that the Clean Base occupies a lot of space. This makes it difficult to keep the i7+ in the cupboard when it's not in use. This is a common issue with robot cleaners, and most manufacturers have smaller charging stations that are smaller. Those stations also typically fit under cabinets making it easier to hide the iRobot when it is not being used. iRobot has reached out to us following publication to clarify that the Combo i7+ is designed to be used only with the manufacturer-approved cleaning solution (sold separately). It is not recommended to fill with water, as it could damage the internal components and decrease the performance.

iRobot Roomba Combo i9

This robot mops and vacuums at the same time with its stainless steel arms that grab dirt and debris while it moves. It also lowers its mop pad when it sees a carpet to avoid getting the rug wet which is a wonderful feature. This feature, called Dry Rug Intelligence by iRobot performed well during my tests and was a significant improvement over the earlier Roomba models that could only vacuum or mop without changing modes.

The iRobot app lets you design a cleaning schedule and access the history and status updates. The app also has "robot health" data, such as how long your irobot shop is able to run before it needs an upgrade to a pad or filter. The app also includes detailed instructions, troubleshooting advice and advanced settings to adjust the mopping water, the number mopping passes per floor, and more.

The new navigation system from iRobot helps the i8 navigate through your home, and it can navigate around obstacles like power cords easily. The navigation system can alter the cleaning route based on the different floors. If you live in a big house, the i8 may require multiple runs before it is finished mapping.

This robot also works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. You can control it with your voice. This is a fantastic feature for busy people. This is a very useful feature for people who need to clean their homes regularly and efficiently.

In addition to being capable of connecting to smart home devices and other smart home devices, the iRobot i8 can work with the iBraava Jet M6, which can be set to automatically mop after the i8 has finished vacuuming. The i8 comes with a Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal and an extra HEPA filter.

This is the newest flagship vacuum, and their best yet. It has a bigger internal dustbin and is able to move more easily over rugs. It also can detect more dirt on floors of any type. The i9 also can detect different rooms and automatically alter its cleaning routine which makes it more efficient than earlier models. The i9 offers advanced mopping capabilities including spot mops and deep cleaning.

It's effective at clearing away all kinds of types of debris and does it without leaving streaks or scratching marks on the surface, unlike some competitors (we'd recommend the eufy X10 Pro Omni for pet people).

iRobot has released a range of upgrades with this model, including the i7+'s impressive performance and the new design with a D-shaped shape which improves its ability navigate around corners and edges. The software is able to be updated, allowing you to transfer maps from an existing device or to add new maps whenever you need to.

Its interface is simple to navigate and provides various features that will assist you in managing the device and your schedule. It shows a helpful diagram that changes according to the status of your robot (Ready charging, Ready to go, or Working) as well as an area where you can see the details of your room map and even draw on it to highlight areas you want your robot to concentrate on.
