Previously, Bambang Pacul mentioned that his party is still finalizing the nominations for the 2024 Central Java Pilgub. Pacul emphasized that PDIP is open to any prominent figures, including Central Java Police Chief Inspector General Ahmad Luthfi. "It is still in discussion and under survey, and we will report the decision to the central committee," Bambang Pacul stated in response to whether the Central Java PDIP has shortlisted Ahmad Luthfi’s name at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, on Thursday. Pacul mentioned that the names of prominent figures emerging from various survey results will be proposed to the PDIP Central Executive Board (DPP). He left the decision on the Central Java Pilkada nominations to PDIP Chairwoman Megawati Soekarnoputri. "The decision is at the central level, but we will submit the data and survey results," Pacul stated in response to questions about Ahmad Luthfi being considered by PDIP in Central Java. "The final decision in Central Java is in the hands of the Chairwoman. If PDIP doesn’t nominate, it’s impossible. We will definitely nominate someone. Which one, we don’t know yet," he added.

**PKS to Invite PDIP to Support Anies-Sohibul Iman Pair** Additionally, Syaikhu mentioned that PKS is also open to forming a coalition with PDIP to jointly endorse the Anies Baswedan-Sohibul Iman pair in the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada. "Yes, it is very possible (a coalition with PDIP) if we invite other parties to endorse this pair," stated Syaikhu. However, Syaikhu admitted that he has not yet communicated with PDIP regarding the Jakarta Pilkada. "I haven't communicated officially," he said. Even so, Syaikhu emphasized that his party will first fight for the Anies and PKS internal cadre Sohibul Iman pair for the Jakarta Pilkada. "God willing, this (Anies-Sohibul Iman) is what we will fight for until registration at KPUD," said Syaikhu.

"It could be (Bambang Pacul), maybe (Ahmad Luthfi)," she said to reporters at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, on Tuesday. However, Puan was reluctant to mention the name that PDIP will nominate. She noted that the current names, including Bambang Pacul and Ahmad Luthfi, are very interesting. "All the names that are emerging are being considered, all are interesting," she stated.

"Secondly, this is related to PKS's significantly increased vote share in the legislative elections, where they were the top vote-getter in Jakarta in the 2024 elections. These two variables explain why PKS is nominating their internal cadre," he added.

He explained that the decision of the PKS Central Leadership Council (DPP) to nominate Anies and Sohibul Iman in the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election was based on suggestions submitted by the PKS Jakarta Regional Leadership Council (DPW). "I have received a letter from the DPW DKI Jakarta structure that has proposed the DKI gubernatorial candidate to the PKS DPP, followed by the DKI vice-gubernatorial candidate to the PKS DPP. Among the letters was a request to endorse, approve, and designate Mr. Anies Rasyid Baswedan and Mr. Mohammad Sohibul Iman as the gubernatorial and vice-gubernatorial candidates for DKI," said Syaikhu.

The East Java KPU has carried out several stages of the 2024 regional elections for the province. These include the recruitment of members of the District Election Committee (PPK) and the Voting Committee (PPS). Additionally, they have carried out the submission stage for the support requirements of prospective independent candidate pairs. "The next stage we will undertake soon is updating and compiling the voter list," stated East Java KPU Chairman Aang Kunaifi.

Anies stated that he will communicate with PKS leaders to talk about further steps and follow-up actions for the Jakarta gubernatorial election (Pilgub) once he returns to the homeland. We have struggled together in Jakarta as well as at the national level with PKS, Insyaallah, we will continue to struggle together in the future," said Anies. Anies believes that besides PKB and PKS, other political parties (parpol) will also support his run in the Jakarta Pilkada. He is determined to return Jakarta to a developed city. "Praise be to God, after PKB and PKS, God willing, other parties will also fight together to restore Jakarta to a modern city with content citizens. Greetings to the entire PKS family," stated Anies. It is known that Anies is currently on vacation in Spain when PKS formally announced his nomination for the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada. The moment in Spain was seen from Anies's social media post showing him visiting the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in Madrid, the capital of Spain. Anies is scheduled to be abroad for two weeks.
