The X8 is a decent vacuum cleaner for floors that are clean. It is able to easily throw debris through the side brushes and into its 400ml dustbin. The Tyres of the X8, despite their circular shape, are very adept at grabbing edges and corners. Our tests showed that it could only remove 90% of the fur on hard floors.

There's a basic mopping robot vacuum cleaner mode which uses the same water tank as the vacuuming. This is ideal for spills that are not serious, but you cannot regulate the amount of water that it uses. It does, however, do an admirable job of picking up pet hair, with a better percentage of hair removal than the Roborock S7.

3. Miele RX2

Awarded for its quiet and efficient home appliances Miele's RX2 robot vacuum is a great choice because of its cleaning power, beautiful design, and a great navigation. It has some oddities in its operation, which prevent it from being ranked as the top smart robot vacuum.

The RX2 comes with a dual-sensor mapping system that makes use of LIDAR to map an area, and a pair 3D scanning cameras to detect and eliminating obstacles (such as furniture legs or pet waste). It then uses the information to create an efficient and consistent cleaning path for each cycle. The result is cleaner floors and a more efficient vacuum cleaner than the majority of high-end robots.

Other features of the 980 include dual multi-surface brushes which grab dirt from hard floors and carpets, as well as the spinning brush that sweeps debris into the robotic vacuum's bin.
