If you're looking to save money and don't require a stroller that doubles up as a car seat carrier the Babyzen Yoyo is a good choice. It has a simple, one-step foot brake that's flip flop user-friendly.

It's easy to push and it feels solid when navigating kerbs and woodland paths. It's also easy to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned a reputation as the ultimate stroller that is lightweight, suitable for urban dwellers as well jet-setters. This is thanks to its extremely nimble handling and fold which fits in the overhead baggage of an aircraft. The latest version has independent suspension on all four wheels made of Hytrel elastomer, which allows it to perfectly traverse all types and terrains'.

The base YOYO2 frame, curved fabric bassinet and 6+ month colour pack come together to make a stylish and elegant pushchair that is easy on the eyes, with a subtle but elegant aesthetic and tasteful branding. The base frame alone weighs just under a kilo and is so light you can easily lift it out of the box (and do so one-handed).

The hood, for instance snaps onto the YOYO2 with a reassuring way. It is also machine washable at 30 degrees which helps prevent stains caused by smushed rice cakes and carrot puffs. It can be used as a pram right from birth with the Newborn Pack or bassinet, or converted to a stroller from 6 months using the YOYO Connect additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

Evenflo Pivot Xplore stroller wagon is a great choice for parents who are looking for a versatile stroller. The Evenflo Pivot Xplore can be transformed from a stroller into the wagon by turning the handle. Parents can then choose which mode is best for their needs. The wagon is able to accommodate one or two children from 6 months to five years old. It comes with a large storage basket that can hold all your needs while on the go.

The Xplore has dual canopies which rotate from front-to-back, providing adequate sun protection for all family members. It also has a footwell that's not as deep or large as other wagons, which means it may not be suitable for long-distance trips or napping.

The frame on the Xplore is solid and sturdy but it doesn't have as much flexibility as other wagons we tested. It is also more difficult than other wagons to fold, and it isn't able to lock securely when folded. It is easy to maneuver however, and can be able to fit through narrow 28-inch doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side-by-Side

This Delta Children bare-bones travel stroller is a great option for parents seeking a second stroller that is affordable. It scored a dazzling score in our Strollers & Multiples test for weight and size folded which means it's light, compact when folded and easy to lift into a trunk of a car or closet. It also has an adjustable recline seat that can be adjusted in multiple positions and cup holders for the parent. Other key features include 360-degree shock absorbing front wheels, as well as two large hanging storage bags.

In our test of the push and turn it performed better than most of the other strollers of a similar price we test, but it's not the most maneuverable over uneven ground or through narrow doors. Its sunshades were among the smallest strollers we test. They only cover the top and do not feature peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 has a more extensive canopy.

The Delta took us just under 3 minutes to put together with an average manual and no components required tools. But, it's lacking certain essential features that we think it is important to consider as non-negotiable features for a double stroller for example, a larger basket and reclining seats with adjustable leg rests.

The Zelia is Maxi-Cosi's latest pushchair, and is advertised as a travel system for urban use. It can be used from birth to around 3.5-years-old. The seat and carrycot can be easily converted in just a few clicks. It can also be used with Maxi Cosi capsule car seats, and comes with the light Mico 30 infant car seat, a stay-incar base, and a reversible car.

It's really easy to maneuver, and the one-hand recline of the seat as well as the massive shopping basket make it easy for parents to get their child out and in quickly. This narrow pushchair handled every day bumps and doors easily.

The front wheels are able to be locked in a forward-facing position and can also swivel. This is useful when navigating rough terrain. On our walk through the stony trail, we let them move and it handled this fairly well, though it did appear more bumpy than the other models on test.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2

Baby Jogger is known for their three-wheeled, all-terrain jogging pushchairs, but they also make a good assortment of strollers with four wheels. The City Tour 2 is one of their most loved models. It is easy to use and folds down small enough to fit into the car boot, even with the carrycot attached.

It's a little heavier than the other strollers we tested but the wheels are a rubber composite, which makes it feel well-built and durable. It is easy to maneuver across various terrains and even with two children as well as a shopping bag and other things.

The carrycot and the seat both come with hoods with pull-down sun canopy extensions that are UV50+. They are sturdy and waterproof, unlike other hoods for prams, which can be blown back onto toddlers faces.

It's not a lot of storage space, but it does have a large, deep basket to hold a change bag or a large amount of groceries. It can also be connected with a Baby Jogger infant car seat to create a traveling system for babies as big as 20 lb (car seat and adapters are sold separately). The City Tour 2 is a ideal choice for those looking to take a stroller on the move.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

Nuna Mixx was a stroller single that captured the hearts of a large number of parents when it first debuted. It's a stroller made of aluminum which can be used from baby's first days to beyond. It comes with a variety of distinctive features like the possibility of flipping the seat between parent and world-facing, a huge UPF 50+ canopy with a flip out eyeshade, a spacious basket and adjustable handlebar.

The wheels are strong and filled with foam, which reduces the risk of punctures. The chassis also has built-in suspension which takes the sting out of bumpy terrain. Our tester found it smooth to push and was able to maneuver it through narrow streets without difficulty.

It folds automatically and locks in just four steps. It can also stand and be rolled around for easier transportation in the boot of your car or down the stairs at home. It also comes with a travel system equipped with the option to include a car seat or carrycot using the included adaptors. The brakes are easy to use using a single action color coded and flip-flop friendly.

7. Babyzen Duet

This single pushchair that is budget-friendly is surprisingly easy to handle and comes with excellent dual suspension, a one-hand fold and a practical carry strap. It's also lightweight and sturdy. The seat is reclined in many positions and has a built-in double breathable mattress that is suitable for babies from birth.

The canopy/seat comes with two big sun visors that are either fixed or flipped out. Both are UPF50+. The toggle closure isn’t ideal because it's not as quiet as Velcro and could awaken napping babies.

The Duet is an angled stroller that can be used by twins or siblings. (Up to 22kg per seat). It is compatible with two infant car seat and some carrycots. In twin-mode, the seats can be facing one another or turn around and face the parents, theoretically decreasing sibling disputes over who should sit with dad and mom. It comes with a massive bottle holder, a gear tray as well as snack trays and the ability to change mats. It also has a superior folding stand that folds down and a frame lock.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2.

It is simple to fold and assemble within 5-10 minutes, without tools. The manual is easy-to-understand and includes multiple languages.
