Some models can be difficult to attach or remove from the base. The Doona Combo requires a two step attachment process, and straps that cover the bottom portion of the infant carrier. It's tempting to skip these steps however it could result in dangerous results.

Similarly, some models are difficult to fold and store away making them less convenient than others. Graco FastAction 3 in 1 Car Seat Stroller is difficult to fold because of its large dimensions and bulky frames. This model also has a small canopy that some test users find disappointing. On the other hand, the Britax Parkway Click and Go Combo is simple to fold with just a pull of an lever and the push of the button. Easy to Fold

Whether you're storing the car seat on its own, in the trunk of your vehicle or even in the closet, it should be easy to fold and unfold. The only drawback is that they're quite heavy and are difficult to lift up when a baby is in a car seat.

Easy to Assemble

Some stroller and car seat combos can be tricky to put together. The UPPAbaby Cruz v2 Combo is one of the most simple travel systems to assemble. It even includes a helpful guide. Other models, such as the UPPAbaby Minu and UPPAbaby Vista v2, Thule urban Glide 2 and baby Pushchair 2 In 1 Trend Snap-N-Go EX Universal were also fairly easy to put together. The BOB Revolution Flex 3.0 Combo, on the other hand isn't easy to put together. It requires two steps to attach the lower anchors as well as using straps that protect the bottom of the carrier. It's heavy, which means it requires two people to click the carrier in the base, and then detach it.

In our tests it took us around 5 minutes to put the UPPAbaby Cruz v2 together. This is a bit rapid when you consider the amount of time is saved by not having to remove all of the individual pieces. Most of these models have an easy method of attaching and detaching the toddler's seat, but there are other options as well.
