The best robot vacuum and mop combo [blip.fm]

The Q Revo is a great choice if you are seeking a robot mop and vacuum that's middle-of-the-road. It has a great mopping performance but lacks some of the advanced features that are found in its more expensive counterpart.

In the course of testing, it was able to handle dust and dry oats on carpets with medium piles as well as pet hair on hard floors. But, unlike cheaper models, it doesn't employ LIDAR to map out your home.

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top-rated robot vacuums. It is loaded with features and impressive cleaning power, including the dirt compartment integrated into the base of charging. The dock of the robo-vac can be multi-functional and automatically transfers garbage into a bin hidden. It also cleans, dries and refills the clean water tank. The app is good at notifying you when something requires attention, like the water tank being empty or a scheduled cleaning session that was cancelled due to a stuffed dust bin.

You can also create and merge actual rooms to alter the way that Q Revo will treat your home. This is an excellent feature for those who have multiple areas of your home with different flooring materials or there's items that need to be cleaned out frequently, like toys, clothes, and books. The robot vacuum was also among the best performers in my test and was able to remove debris from carpets and hardwood floors on the first pass. It can even vacuum up wet spills but I would suggest cleaning them off with a cloth before sending the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a high-end robot vacuum and mop combo and more. It comes with the ability to rotate mops and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It's akin to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has an auto-cleaning station that automatically washes and cleans mop pads to keep them clean and ready to be reused. It also comes with a brand new sensor system that is able to better detects obstacles, giving it the ability to prevent falling over furniture and other objects.

The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this model has a sleeker, more modern design, thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still large--it has a height of more than two feet the height and depth and weighs almost four pounds. However the robot as well as its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

These are nice features however they can push the L10s into the luxury category. This could make it more expensive than what homeowners want.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It's slim and tall and has a white-colored finish, accentuated by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is adorned with a large bumper that protects the furniture and vacuum cleaner when you are moving around your home. Behind the pane at the front is an additional navigation technology in the form of sensors that help the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum there is a single button that serves as an on/off switch. Clicking this will turn on the vacuum, and clicking it again will turn off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The central control panel includes an oblique menu that lets you select cleaning modes, schedules, and preferences. The left and right buttons beneath the screen will open up the settings menu in which you can modify the way that the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map out your home. This allows the robot to mop and vacuum efficiently without getting stuck. The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and recognize them and avoid them, which is a great feature for homes with pets or children.

The L10s Ultra offers solid vacuuming performance which clears 98.4 percent of debris from our hard-floor test and Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo taking out all but the most difficult juice stain. Its mops also do a great job, removing 98.4 percent of the debris from our carpet, tile, and wood tests. However, it wasn't as effective in removing sand from the hard floor and the quaker oats that are on carpet.
