Slot Missions in Hogwarts

Slot missions can be a great way to obtain weapons, equipment and much more. But they're also hard to complete.

Concealed Weapon Slot

The concealed weapon slot is a unique slot that lets you bring guns into a mission. Some players use this to aid in achieving certain goals particularly those who are going for Suit Only. Some players make use of the extra pistol to close gaps. When you use this slot, it is important to keep in mind that you'll have to click the corresponding pistol category button, such as the slot 2 alternative for machine guns, in order to select the appropriate category. Major Expedition and Adept Rider are both active, making it much easier to use. This combo also adds a damage tick from Concealed Weapon every 10 seconds so long as you have it placed in.

Smuggled Item Slot

The smuggled item slot is a great feature that allows players to bring tools and weapons into the game, but it could be improved. It's currently shaped like a pistol, which makes it difficult to differentiate the weapon slot that is smuggled from other slots for gear.

The smuggle slot volatility can house an array of items, ranging from small concussion devices, to weapons-grade explosives. These items can be found in hidden locations around the map. They can be picked up at anytime. The items that are smuggled are different from Agency Pickups and Hidden Stashes that hide only small objects in the scenery, and objects directly.

Mission planning is an option available in episodic missions. It lets players unlock various starting locations, smuggled objects, and gear famous Slots (211.45.131.201) prior to stepping into the map. As players advance through challenges and unlock new Mission Mastery levels, these planning options increase. This lets players prepare the best task for each challenge.

Gear Slot

In the beginning of the game, players will find their gear slots fill up, leading to the dreaded "Your Gear jackpot slots are full" message, which blocks Max from selecting new equipment until old items are cleared or more space is obtained. The solution to this issue is the Hogwarts Legacy Merlin Trials which provide more inventory space in exchange for completing challenge missions. Since many of these challenges are not completed and are scattered across the world, it may take a while to reach the most inventory slots available in the game.

The five Gear Slots of a player can be filled with up to 5 different gear types, which must be selected in the Gear Selection menu before a break-in begins. Each individual gear item (except the Pistol) occupies one Gear Slot while a set of similar items (like Grenades that are of the same type) only takes up one Gear Slot.

Pickups by agencies

As you progress through the Mission Mastery levels you unlock various agency pickups that are on the map. These locations allow you to store items that don't fit in your concealed weapon or gear slot and take them out later.

These pickups are useful when your task requires you to go through a frisk or if you carry a weapon with you that could raise suspicion. You are only able to hide only one item at a pick-up location.

This DLC adds new contracts for asset protection and security to the agency. Talk to the receptionist at the agency and stock up on snacks and armor. Once you have reached the mission marker you can identify a crowd when you arrive.
