Athena

Athena is the epitomize of wisdom and strategic combat. She is a god who fits her role as Zeus daughter. As the daughter of Zeus and Metis, Athena was born from his head and was blessed with the best qualities of both of her parents. She is the goddess of patronage for ranged and artillery weapons, but her main strength is in the fact that she can provide powerful defensive boons. Her Deflection ability diverts melee and projectile attacks from enemies back to where they came from and her Frost Strike boon can deal the most damage to enemies frozen in place or slow their speed of movement.

Her main disadvantage is that she has few offensive buffs. However her damage mitigation buffs can be the difference between a build that has an increased damage focus versus one without. The Duo boon adds Weakness to enemies every time you hit them, which is especially useful in battles where it's hard to avoid being hit, as in Elysium or Styx.

Like her cousin Zeus, Athena can be often overly confident and believe that she is smarter than everyone else. She also doesn't seem to be as close to her cousin as some of the other Olympian gods, and she is often critical of him.

Athena like Hermes, can provide great god-buffs for nearly any weapon. Her boosts to attack however, aren't as strong and it's preferring to select a god with stronger attack multipliers. For example, Poseidon or Athena. Her shield special attack causes the Chill effect that slows enemies' speed and her Frost Flourish boon can increase the damage of your attack and also boost special attack damage, but it's not as powerful as other gods that have these powers. Her blessings are beneficial and should be embraced.

Demeter

Demeter is the goddess of agriculture. Her story demonstrates the balance between parental duty and love. The daughter of the Titans Cronus and Rhea, Demeter grew jealous of her siblings after the Titans overthrew their father to take control of the universe.
