Slot Missions in Hogwarts

Gear Slot

In the beginning of the game, players will find their gear slots become full, resulting in the frequently-repeated "Your Gear Slots are full" message, which blocks Max from acquiring new equipment until old items are cleared or a larger space is found. The solution to this problem is the Hogwarts Legacy Merlin Trials which give players more inventory space in exchange for fulfilling challenging missions. However, as many of these challenges are scattered throughout the world and can be missed it could take some time to get the largest amount of inventory slots available in-game.

The five Gear entertaining slots of a player can be filled with up to five different gear types, which must be selected from the Gear Selection menu before a Break-In can begin. Each individual gear item (except the Pistol) will take up one Gear Slot while a set of similar items (like Grenades that are of the same type) only takes up one Gear Slot.

Pickups by agencies

As you advance through the Mission Mastery levels you unlock various agency pickups that are on the map. These locations allow you to store items that do not fit into your slot for weapons or gear, and retrieve them later.

These pickups are particularly useful if you have to pass through a frisk in the course of the game, or if you are carrying a weapon that would otherwise be suspect. You are only able to hide only one item at a pick-up location.

This DLC also adds new security and asset protection contracts to the agency. To begin these missions, just talk to the receptionist of the agency and stock up on armor and snacks. Once you have reached the mission marker, identify a mob upon arrival.
