Buying a Double Buggy From Birth

There are a lot of things to consider when selecting the perfect double buggy from birth. We spoke with Fourth Trimester postnatal retreat expert Katie Billingsley for her advice on everything from seating options, age ranges to folding mechanisms and storage space.

This buggy is an essential item for active families. It will grow with your family from toddlers to twins. It's light and easy to maneuver and can handle uneven terrain with ease.

What type of buggy would you like?

A double buggy is perfect for transporting two kids, not necessarily of the same age, side-by-side. They can also function as prams. Each seat comes with an adjustable mechanism that allows your children can sit or lie down in different positions. Many have ample storage for everything from snacks and drinks to nappies and wipes. They are usually light they fold easily and are compact enough to fit into the car boot. They're generally more expensive than side-by-sides and tandem buggies, but they offer a lot of flexibility and have a great price for resales. They're generally easy to steer, have large storage bins and are able to handle uneven surfaces. Some come with a built-in ride-on board for older children and 'cinema seats'.

Do you have twins?

Double buggys are the ideal method to transport your children, whether they are twins or older siblings.
