Replacement Upvc Window Handles

Almost all replacement upvc window handles include everything you require to complete the task. However, if the old handle had pins or screws holding it, these will need to be removed. Then, you need to remove the snap-in cover at the base of the handle.

Espag

Espag handles are a set of multipoint locks designed to fit on casement windows such as uPVC or wooden double glazing. Cockspur

They are available in a variety of different nose sizes to match the frame.

The handle locks by the thin spur (little triangle bit) pulling against a wedge of plastic which is attached to the frame. They are typically one-way handles, however a locking deadlock can be fitted to provide additional security.

The replacement cockspur handles are also simple to install. All you require is the correct backset and a brand new set (supplied). The backset is the distance from the baseplate of the window to the underside of the handle's nose. In general Aluminium window frames tend to have a backset of 9mm, whereas UPVC employs 21mm.
