The Lattissima enhances nespresso original coffee machine's brewing with one touch to the next level. It can make lungo and espresso in less than one minute, and it can also accept various capsules from the company.

The machine can also be programmed to make the exact amount of drinks you desire. This is a great feature for busy families.

Simple to use

This basic, black Nespresso machine is simple to use and maintain. It is simple and minimalist in design and has a single button that regulates everything from powering washing to brewing. You simply remove the lid, insert the capsule and click to begin making coffee. It's quick to heat up and offers numerous drink options, including double-shot espressos or a 5-, 8 or 18-ounce cup of coffee. It even comes with a steaming wand that can be used for adding cafe-worthy milk texture to your drinks. While we love its easy interface and compact design but we did find that the machine didn't perform like higher-end models when it comes to brewing rich-tasting coffee and espresso. It's also not as simple to recycle the capsules as some other machines we've tested. This Nespresso wasn't our top choice in our test of side-by-side for these reasons.

Quick to Brew

The Nespresso machine can brew a cup of espresso in just 15 seconds. The heated water from a reservoir is pumped through a pump that penetrates the tiny holes on the top of the pod. It is then mixed with the compacted ground coffee inside and drips into your cup. The machine created an intense, delicious espresso with a hint of bite when we tested it with Jones Brothers and Bestpresso coffee capsules. We tested whole, almond and 2% milks and all performed well.

Easy to clean

Cleaning the Nespresso machine is important both inside and out. This will keep the machine in good condition and ensure its security. It can also make the coffee you make taste better. You can make use of a variety of cleaning products to clean your Nespresso, including vinegar. However, it's recommended to make use of a descaling solution instead, as vinegar could be damaging to your machine.

To clean your Nespresso, start by getting rid of all the pods, and washing the drip tray and capsule container. Then you can fill a sink or a large bowl with warm water and add a few squirts dish soap. Let the drip tray or capsule container soak for a few moments in the soapy solution to loosen any gunk or stains. Rinse the drip tray and capsule container with hot water. Then, use a nonabrasive cloth or sponge to scrub off any stains or residues. After scrubbing the drip tray and capsule containers then rinse them once more and allow them to completely dry before returning them to the machine.

After your machine has been cleaned, it is time to descale. Follow the directions in your manual for a specific procedure. You can also create your own DIY descaling solution with citric acid or white vinegar. If you're using vinegar be sure to make use of white vinegar instead of balsamic or apple vinegar because they're too abrasive for this purpose.
