Nordstrom's flagship store in New York City will be hosting an in-store marketplace featuring eight Black-owned businesses beginning February 14 through March 6. The curated marketplace features apparel, food and home goods from Caribbean lifestyle-inspired Chen Burkett New York, soulful clothing brand Savant Studios, heavy metal jewelry brand Heavy Metals NYC, Modish Decor Pillows and Brooklyn Brewed Sorrel.

Nasrin Jean Baptiste, a fashion stylist, founded Petit Kouraj, a Haitian Creole term for "little courage". After many years of styling, she heard her instincts and came up with a line of luxury bags that blends knitwear, sculpture and cultural identity.

Jean-Baptiste partnered with an all-women-led group in Haiti to make her crochet bags with 100 rayon fringe, cotton net and leather handles. They spend up to 12 hours on a single bag.
