In the past, the Korean scientific community was hesitant about engaging with the creationists out of fear of giving the movement more credence. Silence is no longer an alternative.

STR has secured its first victory in removing examples of the evolution of the horse as well as an avian ancestor, called the Archeopteryx in textbooks. The focus is now on removing snippets of Darwin's notorious finch research as well as on human evolution too.

STR claims to have the support of 4000 families and individuals. Its aim is to root out what it regards as the "atheist materialism" that paints an unhopeful worldview for students.
