Greenpower Mobility - All-Energy Medium and Heavy-Duty Vehicles

Greenpower creates and manufactures, as well as distributes a variety of heavy- and medium-duty power electric scooter vehicles. This includes transit buses and school buses, as cargo buses as well as shuttles.

The EV Star REEFERX was developed for mid-to-last mile refrigerated deliveries as well as catering applications. The refrigerated truck's class 4 configuration's one interior wall structure and higher insulation than traditional trucks enable seamless sanitation, better temperature control, and a longer life. The EV Star REEFERX provides superior cargo capacity and a world-class payload to range ratio that is ideal for zero-emission passenger and cargo transportation.

greenpower scooter has joined forces with Perrone Robotics to up-fit the EV Star with their TONY (To Navigate You) autonomous vehicle system. This will allow fleets to quickly change to autonomous vehicles. The AV Star can also be wirelessly charging up to 75 kW.

We had the chance to test drive the EV9 for a few hours on a local freeway and found it to be a breeze to drive and comfortable for long distances. The EV9 can be used to block wind and road noise while driving on the highway. It rides smoothly over ruts and humps. The acceleration of the vehicle is astonishingly quick, and it has adjustable regenerative brakes to enable "one-pedal driving" simply by lifting off the accelerator.

The EV9 offers a great range and can be charged in three hours or less at home, or by using any commercial charger. Drivers have the option of choosing between two operating modes: eco mode and sports mode. Eco mode prioritizes the torque, cruise control and handling while sport mode maximizes speed. Both modes are enjoyable to drive and offer an unforgettable experience for those who have never been in a vehicle with an electrical system before.

In addition to the EV9, GreenPower has several other electric vehicles, including a multi-purpose all-electric mini bus called the EV Star. The EV Star is ADA compliant and can be used as an executive shuttle, micro-transit or Power Electric Scooter transit bus, vanpool, or green Power scooter a paratransit vehicle.

GreenPower produces about 10 EV Star busses a month for the Jacksonville Transit Authority. The Jacksonville Transit Authority is replacing their older diesel vehicles fleet with 100 electric cars. With the Biden Administration aiming to electrify schools across the nation, GreenPower plans on ramping up production to meet demand. Their EV Star bus is the first of its kind to be tested in Altoona and FMVSS-certified. Buy America compliant and ADA certified. They will be eligible for federal transit grants.
