Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos

Robot vacuums and mops are increasingly adept, passing our cleaning tests and tackling various floor types. Find models that allow you to choose from a variety of modes, and use their charging docks to self-empty and clean up stairs.

Many of the best models work with your smartphone. Check for an app that allows you to save maps, set schedules and select cleaning modes.

1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro

Eufy's gunmetal-and-gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuums and mop combinations on the market. It makes use of lidar to navigate, create maps of rooms and floors (even multiple levels) and integrates with the free Eufy Clean app that lets you set schedules and alter the S1's behaviour.

The S1 was able to map my downstairs quickly, which comprises linoleum in the dining area, kitchen and bathrooms and also a carpet in the middle and a large area. It easily drove close to walls without hitting them, and was able to traverse thresholds for rooms that are raised without problem, although it sometimes was unable to navigate down stairs in a single step. The S1 performed well in cleaning hard floors. The mop sped along on its flat side and lifted itself when it came to carpets or carpets.

The S1's docking station automatically emptys its trash bin and replenishes its water tank onboard with clean, ozonated water prior to each mopping session. The dock also includes a cleaning solution in the water to ensure deep cleaning. The S1's tank of water holds enough for about 12 cleaning sessions before it needs to be emptied, though this will vary depending on how often you use the mop.

The S1 needs periodic maintenance, just like other 2-in-1 robots. To do this, you'll need to wash the dirty water tank occasionally to avoid it from clogging. Also, you'll need to clean the swivel wheels and sensors regularly to keep them from getting clogged by dirt or dust. But, overall, the S1 is easy to maintain, especially compared to other combinations that require more care.

2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete

This all-in-1 robot mop and vacuum from Ecovacs is a great choice to meet your cleaning requirements. Its robot vacuum boasts 8700Pa of suction and comes with many innovative features, including full home mapping, voice control and smart path-planning that avoids obstacles and cleans around furniture. The mopping feature is impressive, with rotating mops that actually lift and scrub the floor rather than simply moving the pad across it. The mops can be cleaned and dried at the base station if needed.

This robot combination is simple to install and use, with a clear interface that walks you through the process. It also comes with a hand-vacuum that can be utilized to clean those difficult to reach areas that the robot can't reach. There are also two water tanks that are automatically emptied or refilled. It also comes with a variety of useful settings for fine-tuning your cleaning preferences.

The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does well at vacuuming, with strong suction that easily removes most debris and even the smaller pieces of dust that other robots struggle with. Its navigation abilities are also pretty good robot vacuum, although it can be stuck on small mats and rugs in my home (which you can reduce by creating virtual boundaries in the app). Mopping capabilities are excellent with a pair of spinning mop pads that lift and scrub the floor, rather than just drag the pad across it. The mops are also cleaned using heated water and dried in the base station whenever required. The mops are also replenished at the top of the station if required.

3. Dreame X40 ultra

Dreame's X30 Ultra robot vacuum that mops vacuum and mop was launched earlier this year. But their new flagship model has even more impressive features. It is a great cleaner, and it is easy to maintain. This makes it a contender for our list of the top mops and robot vacuums. Its superior mapping abilities, RGB AI smart detection and a larger side brush ensure that an effective, customized cleaning is achieved.

The X40 Ultra vacuums well, it can remove both large and fine debris. It works equally well on carpets and hard floors. It was able to clean the dirtiest areas of our tests with ease while avoiding pet hairs and other dirt. The sweeping capability of the machine is boosted by a sidebrush which automatically moves out to reach areas that are difficult to reach, and mop pads that extend across baseboards.

Its navigation system is nimble it can navigate through tiny spaces and negotiating stairs without missing a step. It can move from one room to another without having to change direction. This is a great feature for large homes with multiple rooms. Its obstacle avoidance is less advanced than the ones of other competitors and leaves a large space over obstacles. This could lead to missing spots.

The app features a simple user interface that is designed to be easy for both novice and experienced users. The app allows you to schedule and manage cleanings, adjust mopping and suction power settings and view 3D and 2D maps, and more. It can be controlled via the app, Alexa or Google Assistant. You can also remotely control the X40 Ultra camera for real-time monitoring. But, you'll require a stable Wi-Fi connection to operate it via the app and external controls.

4. Roomba Q5 Pro

Robot vacuums are great in removing dirt and debris but they aren't able to reach all dust. That's why it's important to use your regular vacuum at least once every week, and especially to pick up dust in corners, on shelves, and in the crevices of your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop robot that was designed to accomplish exactly that. It's easy to connect to your Wi-Fi at home network and integrates with Alexa and Apple Siri, making it an even more useful addition to your routine of cleaning.

The Q5 is a stripped down version of the more expensive models in the S-series from the company, such as the top-of-the-line Roborock S8 maxV ultra. It uses the same LIDAR mapping sensors, however it is cheaper because it doesn't have mopping capabilities and has plastic body.

Despite losing the ability to clean your floors, the Q5 still has the best robot hoover mopping and vacuum performance we've seen from a robot in this price range. It has a suction power of 5500Pa and an auto vacuum and mop-empty system, so you don't have to empty the bin manually every time. It comes with a smart application which allows you to schedule cleanings and choose the floor type. It also features an automatic water tank filling system and washing system to allow hands-free operation.

Its mops are also impressive with 2700Pa of power that can tackle dirt, dust and pet hair on both carpets and hard floors. The Q5 is one of the few robots we tested that didn't show any problems with carpets with high piles or area rugs, but it couldn't remove cat litter or cable tangles and cable tangles, which isn't a surprise since it does not include AI-powered obstacle avoidance.

5. K10 Plus

K10 Plus is one of the quietest robot vacuums we have tested. It also has a unique method to map your home this allows it to get into places that other vacuums can't reach. This device also has a larger bin, so you don't need to empty it as often. It also has washable filters which further reduces costs. The robot is able to detect carpets and increase suction if needed. The app also allows you to mark off areas that you want it to stay clear of this is a useful feature.
