Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos

Eufy's gunmetal-and gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot cleaner vacuum and mop combos available on the market. It uses lidar to navigate and create maps of rooms and floors (even multiple levels) and integrates with the free Eufy Clean app that lets you set up schedules and modify the S1's behavior.

When I tried the S1, it was able to identify our downstairs, which has linoleum flooring in the kitchen-diner and bathrooms, as well as carpeting with a medium-pile and an area rug. It was capable of driving close to walls and even across raised thresholds without any problems. However it had some issues traversing the stairs in one step. The S1 performed admirably in cleaning hard floors. Its mop moved smoothly on its flat side and swung up when it reached carpets or rugs.

The docking station of the S1 automatically empties its trash bin and replenishes its onboard water tank with clean, ozonated water before each mopping session. The dock provides a deep-cleaning solution for the water. The S1's tank of water holds enough water for around 12 cleaning sessions before needing to be emptied, though this will vary depending on how often you use the mop.

The S1 needs periodic maintenance, just like all 2-in-1 robots. It is necessary to regularly wash out the tank that has been contaminated to keep it from becoming blocked. You will also need to clean your sensor and swivel wheel frequently to avoid them getting blocked by dust or dirt. Overall, the S1 requires less maintenance than other combos.

2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete

Ecovacs All-in-one robotic vacuum and mop provides an efficient solution to your cleaning needs. The robot vacuum is rated at 8,700Pa of suction, and comes with a number of innovative features, such as full home mapping, voice control and smart path-planning to avoid obstacles and cleans around furniture. The mopping capabilities of the robot vacuum cleaner best are impressive. Rotating mops actually lift the floor and scrub it instead of just drag a pad across a surface. Mops can also be dried and cleaned at the base station when needed.

This robot combo is easy to install and use, and has a clear interface that walks you through the procedure. It also includes a hand vacuum that can be utilized to clean those difficult to reach areas that the robot is unable to reach. There are two water tanks that are automatically emptied or filled. It also has a number of useful settings to fine-tune your cleaning preferences.

The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does a good robot vacuum job at vacuuming, with a strong suction that easily removes most of the debris, and even tiny dust particles that other robots struggle with. Its navigation capabilities are pretty solid as well, though it is sometimes hung up on the tiny carpets or area mats that I have in my house (which is something you can mitigate by creating a virtual boundary in the app). The mopping capabilities are quite good as well, with two spinning mops that actually lift and scrub the floors, as opposed to simply dragging the pad over it. The mops are cleaned with heated water and dried in the base station as required. The mops are also filled from the top of the base station as needed.

3. Dreame X40 Ultra

Dreame launched the luxurious X30 Ultra earlier this year and their new flagship robot vacuum and mop has even more impressive features. It offers outstanding cleaning results and hands-free maintenance making it a top contender on our top robot vacuum and mop list. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition, and an extended side brush guarantee an efficient, customized clean.

The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming, removing large and small particles from hard floors as well as carpets. It also cleaned our test's dirtiest areas well, eliminating pet hairs that are tangled and other messes. The sweeping power of the machine is boosted by a sidebrush that automatically moves out to reach areas that are difficult to reach, and mop pads that run along baseboards.

Its navigation is smart that can navigate tiny spaces and negotiating stairs without missing a step. It can go from one room to another without needing to reverse the direction. This is a great feature for large homes with multiple rooms. Its obstacle avoidance technology isn't as advanced than its competitors, however, and tends to leave a wide space around obstacles, which could result in missed spots.

The app features a simple, intuitive interface that should be user-friendly for both new and experienced users. The app lets you plan and manage cleanings, change mopping and suction power settings as well as view 3D and 2D maps, and much more. You can control it via the app, Alexa or Google Assistant. You can also remotely control the X40 Ultra camera for real-time monitoring. But, you'll need a stable Wi-Fi connection in order to operate it through the app and external controls.

The Q5 is a stripped down version of the more expensive S-series models from the company, such as the flagship Roborock S8 maxV ultra. It uses the same LIDAR mapping sensor, but saves on cost by removing the mopping functionality and by using a less expensive plastic body.

Despite losing the ability to wipe your floors, the Q5 still offers the best vacuum and mopping performance we've seen from a robotic in this price range. It has a suction power of 5500Pa and an automatic-empty system that means you don't have to empty the bin manually every time. It has a smart app that lets you schedule cleanings and choose the floor type. It also features an automatic water tank filling and washing system that is hands-free.

Its mops are also impressive with their 2700Pa capacity to tackle dirt and pet hair on carpets and hard flooring. The Q5 was among the few robots that we tested to not have problems with high-pile carpets and rugs. However, it could not handle kitty litter or cable tangles. This isn't surprising, since it does NOT contain AI-powered obstacle avoidance.

5. K10 Plus

K10 Plus is one of the quietest robovacs we have tested, it also uses a unique system to map your home this allows it to get into the corners and tight spaces that other vacuums can't reach. It also collects more dust in a larger bin, so you don't have to empty it as frequently. It also has washable filters which can further cut costs. The robot can recognize carpets and increase suction if needed. You can also mark off areas you want to be able to keep from using the app.
