iRobot suggests that you clear areas that the i3+ EVO will vacuum prior to when you use it, and include clearing out any clutter or toys it may come across. It is also recommended to keep the filters and dust bin free of dirt to prevent them from becoming clogged. When the i3+ EVO's internal bin is filled or the battery is depleted it will return to its docking station, automatically empties its debris into the station's dust bin and continues cleaning where it began. The i3+ EVO's battery lasts for about an hour and a half continuous use, and it takes about three hours to fully recharge.

2. Roomba from iRobot

The iRobot i7+ is an excellent model from iRobot's flagship line, and it comes with the latest technology. It is self-charging and self-navigating, but the most significant feature is its self-emptying bin. This eliminates the need for routine maintenance.

The Roomba I7+ is able to make rooms more efficient maps using Imprint Smart Mapping. It also works with the iRobot Home app to let you schedule cleaning jobs and control your robot with voice or through the app.

The i7+ is faster and more agile in our tests than the eufy RoboVac G30. It also cleaned large pet hair pieces from any surface including carpeting. The biggest advantage over the Eufy is its self-emptying bin which removes major maintenance sources and reduces the cost of maintenance.

We were also amazed by the i7+'s integration with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services, which we used to instruct the robot to begin, stop or pause its cleaning routines, move itself around the room, and even vacuum an area. The iRobot Home App made it easy to connect the i7+ to these services. Once connected, to speak commands to the i7+, for example "Hey Alexa vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home app also provides options to manage the i7+'s preferences and monitoring its performance.

3. Dyson Cyclone V10

In a world filled with cordless vacs that are like minivans and buses, this small Dyson model feels like an old-fashioned sports car. It's got the power and features to replace a stand-up vacuum in the majority of households and can fit nicely on a coffee table or on shelves that you can spin around like the magic wand.

The V10 is powered with seven cells of energy-dense Lithium-ion batteries that produces power that is not fading for 60 minutes. Its sophisticated whole-machine filtration system traps allergens and releases cleaner air back into your home. Its intelligent navigation system makes use of iAdapt to avoid obstacles and navigate around your home, but it's not equipped with the mapping capability of more sophisticated models like our top picks, the i3+ EVO and the j7+ series. It may get stuck on phone cords or furniture and is often unable to supply power before returning to its original location.
