The Best robot vacuum that mops (why not try these out)

If you're looking to buy a robot vacuum that also mops then this is the model to look for. It's smaller than the other models on this list which makes it easier to maneuver through tight corners and under furniture. It has a 220 degree Lidar that, combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, provides some of my favorite navigation and object avoidance capabilities I've seen in robot vacuums. It's powered by a 4600mAh battery that can last up to 170 minutes when mopping and sucking is set to standard mode. (It can run longer on turbo). It can even return to the dock to replenish its battery halfway through an efficient.

It's quick and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms quickly, and hardwood floors in the living room, kitchen, and hallways with just one motion. The motor's 8,000pa power allows it to pick up dirt as well as pet hair and poop effortlessly. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it detects carpets and the double side brush assists in removing debris from corners.

The mopping performance, while still impressive, is not as good. The mop's rotating mechanism spins fast and utilizes 2.2lbs to clean dirt and stain. I've noticed that the front arm extends out a bit more than other robots. This is useful when getting into tight corners or on baseboards. The same front arms can be used to sweep larger pieces of debris, such as broken toys and books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've used. It is quieter and doesn't produce more noise when vacuuming or mopping. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it has to use a proprietary mopping solution and is sold separately. It is easy to install, and it works well. However, if you are buying this robot vacuum to mop, you will need to be aware of this.

The robot is divided into two parts, a dry bin and water tank that can be easily snapped in and out and a mopping unit that has a microfiber pad. It's not the most modern thing to have separate modules for vacuuming and mopping but it does mean you don't have to worry about changing the bags for disposables or refilling the tank of water.

The Matrix Plus performed well at both vacuuming as well as mopping. Its greatest feature is its accurate floorplan map, which it utilizes when cleaning. This made it a breeze for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture, rugs, and other obstacles. The app also gives you the option to set "No-Go zones" and virtual barriers that help to keep certain areas of your home from being cleaned with a mop.

We also found that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in picking up pet hair. It was able to capture the majority of hair shed by our cats and even found its way into the nooks and crevices of our stairs, where other robots struggled. Its noise levels were fairly low and there were nice jingles to signal that it was beginning and finishing its work.

Its biggest drawbacks were its simple app and the requirement to swap out the modules whenever switching between vacuuming and mopping. The app cannot save multiple maps. This can be an issue if your house has several floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those looking for an intelligent robot that can perform both vacuuming and mopping.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum reviews vacuum that mops in our review, but it has some unique features that make it worth considering. The X1 Omni is most well-known for its huge dock that serves as a charging base for the robot, a cleaning sink and two water tanks that are 4 liters in size. It also houses the 2.5-liter dust bin as well as an 2.5 liter dust bin.

The base also has a number of buttons to control the system. These allow you to start cleaning or recall the robot or use the dock's automatic emptying process. Hold down two buttons to turn off a child lock, which is a nice feature for parents who are worried about their children playing with the vacuum.

The X1 Omni like other robotic vacuums uses its camera to identify obstacles and furniture that are in its path. It will stay clear of them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

This can cause the X1 to become stuck when it is entangled in a blockage, such as the power cable that is draped over a rug. It will not work until you manually untangle it. This was a rare incident however, it was a bit frustrating since the X1 does not have a "stuck status" alert in its application.

Another possible issue is one of the biggest drawbacks is X1 Omni's inability to automatically change between vacuuming and mopping modes during a cleaning session. You'll have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad, except that mopping pads don't get washed or dried between uses. This can lead to mildew and mold.

On the bright side the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who conceptualized its modern, sleek base and mopping pad. It's a big departure from the utilitarian, all-black bases that are used by rivals like Roborock and iRobot, and a welcome sight in a space which is dominated by clunky, boxy units.
