The best robot vacuum and mop Robot Hoover

The best robot cleaner hoover can clean and mop without requiring your attention, and will leave your floors clean. Its price is surprisingly low and high-end features (such as dirt detection) are great features.

The Q5 Pro and its sibling, the pricier Q7 Max Series, are among the most powerful robot vacuums we've examined. And, like other top iRobot models (including the top-rated model) they utilize smart mapping technology to create detailed floor plans that avoid home-based obstacles like cords and furniture legs. The robots also feature a feature called Carpet Boost that boosts its power when it detects dirt on the carpet.

The Q5 and Q7 Max Series both scored extremely well in our tests on bare floors, and they are particularly adept at cleaning hair from dogs. However, they do have several flaws that prevent them from being our top pick. For instance, the Q5's navigation doesn't feature AI-powered obstacle avoidance technology which means it's susceptible to get caught up in socks and shoes and couldn't navigate tight spaces very well in our tests. It also doesn't have a camera to see around corners.

It's still a good robot vacuum value, especially if your office or home has lots of unfinished floors and you're looking to save some money. Plus, it's very quiet and can work while you're at work, or at school. The only thing it doesn't have that you don't get in the pricier iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming on floors that aren't clean. It's also less effective at mopping, as it relies on disposable wet wipes that don't hold on well and aren't able to handle dried-on debris. The Q5 has a self-emptying cradle, however. If you want to, you can switch the mopping pad to dry ones in a matter of minutes.

2. IRobot Roomba X30

The iRobot Roomba X30 is a compact elegant vacuum cleaner that can sweep floors. Its intelligent cleaning maps and nimble navigation make it easy to clean, and effective in dealing with larger particles such as pet hair. It also features a self-emptying bin as well as powerful suction, and support for virtual boundaries. It's the best robot hoover for carpets, though it isn't as efficient as some of its competitors in deep cleaning.

This highly efficient combination vacuum and mop makes use of advanced sensors to avoid obstacles and pet waste and it also learns the layout of your home over time for more efficient cleaning. The app allows you to modify zones and alter the cleaning schedule. It has a battery lifespan that is similar to other models.

When the X30 Ultra is in a carpeted area, you can tell it to remove and extend its mop. This helps prevent cross-contamination. Its obstacle detection was great and it was able to avoid fake dog turds, socks, shoes, and bundles of cables.

It's a bit more expensive than the iRobot Combo v9+ and iRobot Roomba j9+, but it has superior suction, an onboard dustbin that automatically fills up its base, and also supports voice commands via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It even cleans the floor after it vacuums this feature, which we haven't seen in other robot vacuum/mop combinations.

3. Roomba X40 from iRobot

With an elegant, circular design that looks more like a normal Roomba than the competitors' boxy units This mop and robot vacuum is one of the most appealing looking in our reviews. iRobot’s latest flagship model is also among its most advanced. It features advanced features like Enhanced Dirt Detection as well as future compatibility (another company's robot that is able to wash mop pads autonomously).

It's the only robotic vacuum/mop to score 100% in our evaluations, thanks to a combination of high-tech sensors that include cameras, a structured lighting system, and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot we tested that could fill and empty its basestation on its own. It also boasted an industry-leading suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mops.

As with other iRobot models like the X40 is easy to use, offering an easy mobile app interface, and integration with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit as well as Google Assistant. The only issue is that the X40 still a noisy unit. This can be a problem in mornings before work or during the night when you are trying to fall asleep.

It's also a bit expensive but not as much as the Ecovacs S8 MaxV Ultra or Roborock S8 Omni, which are both equally impressive and attractive. This is a dual-purpose vacuum that's extremely powerful, but it's more expensive and produce more noise.

4. iRobot Roomba L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a top-of-the-range robot vacuum and mop, with a lot of advanced features that will let you get rid of your chores. The L20 Ultra is a hands-free cleaner like Ecovacs' top-of-the-range X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra. It has a multifunction dock which automatically emptys the bin of the vacuum and fills up the water tank, as well as washes and drys mop pads.

The smart robot employs an array of LIDAR and structured light to draw out floor plans and identify obstacles, making it more efficient than its top rivals. It also has a camera mounted on the front for real-time detection of hazards but this was not reliable in our tests and was often confused by power cords or other obstructions.

5. iRobot Roomba RX3

The RX3 is more sophisticated than the price suggests. It's a pro at vacuuming, picking up 55% of the debris we found in our tests (it was second only to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mops with a single pad and a rotating motion that cleans better that most mop cleaners for robots that we've examined. It's also highly self-sufficient, with a full-featured app and a self emptying base that is washable.

The well-designed iRobot app guides you through a mapping exercise that collects information about your floorplan as well as any "no-go" areas you mark on the map. It can be used to create cleaning schedules or to set up an automatic spot-clean. You can also use it to prioritize your dirtiest areas to improve performance. The app also gives access to many features like seasonal suggestions, custom maps, and advanced settings for your cleaning.

It also has the ability to reach corners and under furniture more easily because its shape is more rectangular. It also has a powerful 8,000 Pascal suction and combs that are intelligent for pet hair. You can also set up a spot-clean that will thoroughly clean a specific area.

The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD offers a sleeker and less expensive alternative to iRobot Roomba. It's got a more attractive style, much like Dolce & Gabbana.
