World of Warcraft - Item Upgrade

The upgrade of items allows players to increase the level of armor and weapons that can be equipped. This increases the effectiveness of the equipment, in addition to sometimes adding buffs or rerolling an affix.

It is important to remember that upgrading common gear is not always worth it. Unique and rare equipment can quickly outperform modernized equipment and magic.

Cost

When a player decides to upgrade an item, they must spend Gold to upgrade the item. The cost of upgrading an item depends on its current level and the type of upgrade selected. Upgrades to weapons are generally less expensive than upgrades to armor because weapons have lower requirements. The amount of Gold required to upgrade an item increases when the item is upgraded to an upper level.

A new item will also have increased stats, which can boost its performance in a variety of ways. This may include boosting its attack power or critical strike chance. The upgraded item can also give additional bonuses to the unit it's equipped with. These upgrades can be used for a variety of reasons for example, to increase the overall power of a particular or group unit. They can also affect the overall the gameplay.

The items can be upgraded at any item upgrader NPC in the game. These NPCs can be found in the major questing areas or capital cities. You can also find upgraders of items in dungeons that feature high-level bosses and talking to NPCs in garrisons of your faction.

The rerolled item will also have different requirements for strength and dexterity. It is important to note that the item rerolled does not retain its original level or any wasted resource.

Certain upgraded items can only be rerolled if the initial item was a Unique Epic, Rare or Rare. Exceptional items can also be rerolled but the original stats are replaced by a flat-rate bonus. Rerolling an item that is Rare item will result in a normal version of the same type, whereas rerolling an Epic item will result in an Elite version of the same kind.

A player can turn an item into another upgradeable item by selecting it and pressing the green button with a reroll arrow. The highest level of upgrade an item upgrading can achieve is determined by its tier and quality.
