The legs clicked into place and the zippers were secure for safety. It took her around 10 minutes to assemble and didn't require any tools, with clear instructions and a video or support number if you encounter any issues.

This is one of Chicco's more expensive options, but it is packed with lots of features. It can be used either a side-sleeper, or a standalone crib, and is suitable for infants from birth to six months. It has a new mechanism for opening and closing the side panel, and is easy to use even with one hand. It's also more flexible than its predecessor, with 11 different height levels as well as retractable feet for a secure place under any bed.

Our testers were impressed by the ease of access offered by the side panel that can be moved up and downwards with just one click of a button. This was an enormous help in feedings at night, as it meant they could easily reach in and take their baby away without waking them up.

It is possible to lower the side panel by itself, but this isn't recommended, as it increases the risk that your baby will fall out of the cot. The safety locking system ensures that the side panel will remain in place when it is attached correctly to the mattress of the parent. This is a wonderful feature to have for peace of mind, especially when you're breastfeeding and need frequent night feeds.

The Chicco Next2Me Magic is designed to be a perfect fit for any bed that includes divan bases as well as beds with drawers due to the legs that can be telescopic. A gentle incline option helps to ease reflux and colic, while the zip down side allows you to feed or comfort your baby at night.

The kit for conversion to cot is also well-designed, with clear instructions. It includes everything you require. It took us around an hour to put together and was fairly simple to put together.
