iRobot suggests that you clear areas in which the i3+ EVO will vacuum prior to when you use it, including putting away any clutter or toys it may encounter. It is also recommended to keep the filters and dust bin free of dirt to prevent them from becoming clogged. When the i3+ EVO's internal bin is empty or the battery is not fully charged, it returns to the docking station and takes the dirt out of the docking station's dust bin. Its greatest advantage over the Eufy is its self-emptying garbage bin that eliminates the main sources of maintenance and lowers the cost of recurring maintenance.

We were also impressed by the i7+'s compatibility Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services that we used to instruct the robot to start, stop or pause its cleaning routines, move itself around the room, and even vacuum an area. The process of connecting the i7+ to these services was simple and straightforward through the iRobot Home app. Once connected, we were able to use the i7+'s voice commands like "Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home App also offers options for managing i7+ settings and evaluating the performance.

3. Dyson Cyclone V10

In a world filled with vacuums with cords that feel like minivans or buses, this small Dyson model feels like an old-fashioned sports car. It's powerful enough to replace a traditional stand-up vacuum in the majority of homes, but also small enough to fit on a bookcase or coffee table.

The V10 is powered by a seven-cell, energy-dense lithium-ion battery that produces continuous, non-fading power for 60 minutes. Its advanced whole-machine filter system traps allergens and releases cleaner air back into your home. That's still enough run time to vacuum the majority of a typical-sized home but not long enough to clean every area (though an additional run-through often can be effective). This model has its own advantages however: it's light and more maneuverable than earlier Dysons cordless models, and its vacuuming ability is noticeable superior for carpet floors with low pile.

4. iRobot Roomba 694

One of iRobot's most popular robot vacuums the 694 is a basic model that's a great choice for people who don't want to invest too much on a robotic. It was able to remove most types of debris and sizes during our tests and would often go over the same area many times to ensure an extensive clean. Its flat front end helps it reach into corners and along the walls' edges, which is a nice touch.

Its navigation system is smart and uses iAdapt technology to stay clear of obstacles and help you navigate your home. However, it isn't equipped with the ability to map that is found in more advanced models, such as our top picks, i3+EVO and the j7+ Series. As a result, it can sometimes get stuck on things like phone cords or furniture that isn't as sturdy, and frequently is power-depleted before making it back to its original location.

The Xiaomi Mi robot is superior in many ways to the Roomba 694, as it has less parts that require regular cleaning, comes with an allergen-trapping HEPA filtration system, incurs lower costs for recurring expenses, has more advanced automation capabilities and is able to better move its own.
