World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can increase the value of armors, weapons and rings. Upgrades also boost bonuses like crit chance and PvE Damage.

For instance an item with the upgrade template that is ending in % will gain an attack damage of 3% each time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value).

The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases as the item level rises.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be put into armor, weapons, and trinkets to provide an extra stat boost or effect while they're in use. They can be obtained through crafting, buying from vendors or trading with other players or looting. Certain upgrades also come with specific cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can only be used on equipment that has a slot. The item must be at least upgraded to blue before a component can be applied. Like other mods, upgrade components can only be used once; they cannot be applied repeatedly or replaced with new upgrades. Infusions and Enrichments are a type of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and Ascended equipment, as well as some non-ascended items. Infusions and enrichments are recovered by salvaging gear that is ascended or completing an elite task in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade may have a prefix or suffix changing the name of the equipment with which it is applied (for instance 'Canthan Armor Insignia is changed to Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades can increase the Mark Level or Rarity of an item, which lets players to create stronger versions using less upgrade crystals than they require to reach the same level using normal methods.

A boost upgrade can alter the attack or defense attributes of a weapon or armor. These upgrades are available to be made from the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene and defeats the Crazed mechanic. They can be dropped by enemies when upgrading other gear or purchasing them from the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals each.

The player can have up to five boost upgrades at a time. Each upgrade increases the chance that a higher-level version of the item upgrades will be available in the next reset. This gives players an incentive to upgrade their equipment even if they are unsure what will be improved following a reset.

The process of upgrading an item can be expensive, and it is possible that the item will eventually become obsolete, or even break, if the upgrade is unsuccessful. Upgrade Crystals and assist powder are also destroyed when an upgrade fails. This is alleviated by the availability cash shop items that can double or even eliminate possibility of failure, and a few upgrades that give the benefit of being reinserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade elements that can be inserted into special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs buff the effectiveness of all nodes in the area around them and include pre-existing affixes to equipment. Glyphs are upgraded in many ways. We suggest upgrading them as soon as possible up to 15 levels.

In the endgame you'll find that the Best item upgrader way to enhance your gear is by placing Glyphs. They are the only upgrade component which can be upgraded to level 15 and give an enormous boost to your power on the Paragon Board.

Glyphs, the only upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and then replaced again are the most commonly used. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and rebuilt by using a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

Each Glyph has a certain range of values it can improve a stat by, and the value is shown when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with a Glyph that is of the same or higher rank to increase the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of an Gem Store bundle or purchase them with certain tools that are unlimited in use and also during Faction Crypt Raids. Every Faction Crypt has the chance of dropping one of the numerous Glyphs, and there are some rare glyphs that can be found in the form of drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

These recipes are available in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or bought from NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed earns several Technology Points. These points can be used for the upgrading of an item. When enough points have been earned, you will be able to claim the upgrade and get its extra bonuses.

When a player upgrades an item it is replaced with a different item of the same kind. The same armor can be transformed into a weapon or a shield when upgraded. The new item also comes with its own set of bonuses. This could be a drawback since the item may be more expensive even if you don't require it.

item upgrades (Fakenews.win) can sometimes be rerolled if the player has enough tokens in order to do this. This causes the item to be exchanged for a new one, which will have an initial level and a different set of bonuses. This can be beneficial however it should not be used frequently as it can waste resources.

Certain upgrades can increase their value and allow players to modify their gear. The upgrade of armor set pieces will also increase the base defense of the piece, whereas upgrading weapons will increase the base damage and the strength and dexterity required to match the requirements of the upgraded equipment.

Each item can be upgraded a maximum of five times, except for hero gear which can have eight upgrades. Every each time you upgrade an item it has the chance to fail. The failure rate increases the farther you go beyond the maximum amount of upgrades. Failures will result in the item reverting to its original state, which requires the player to spend additional materials than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum number.

If an item is not able to upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. Additionally the item will lose any bonus it earned such as crit chance, attack damage, as well as all additional effects associated with that effect (for instance, an increase in heal over time or speed of reload). However, the player can still continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.

If an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied in order from the lowest to the highest.
