If you're looking to save money and don't want a stroller that doubles into a car seat carrier, the Babyzen Yoyo is a good option. It features a flip-flop-friendly one-step footbrake.

It's easy to push, and it feels solid when you are navigating kerbs and woodland paths. It's also a breeze to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has built a reputation as the ultimate lightweight buggy for city dwellers and jet-setters alike, thanks to its super nimble manoeuvrability and fold that fits in aeroplane overhead luggage. This latest version boasts independent suspension on all four wheels made from Hytrel Elastomer, which allows it to effortlessly navigate all types of surface and terrain'.

The bent fabric bassinet, base YOYO2 frame and 6months of colour pack are combined to create a chic pushchair with a subtle elegant design. The base frame weighs less than a kilogram, and is so light you can lift it out of the box with just one hand.

It's also easy to add or remove attachments or adaptors - the hood, for instance, snaps onto the YOYO2 with reassuring clicks and is machine washable to help deter staining from rice cakes that have been smashed and half-dissolved carrot puffs. It can be used as a pram starting from birth with the Newborn Pack or bassinet, or converted into a stroller after 6 months using the YOYO Connect additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

The Evenflo Pivot Xplore is a fantastic choice for parents looking for a stroller that can be used in a variety of ways. It transforms from a stroller into a wagon by simply turning the handle, meaning parents can choose the option they want to use on their adventure. The wagon can fit two or three children ranging from 6 months to 5 years old. It has a large storage basket that will hold all your needs while on the go.

The Xplore has dual canopies which are able to rotate from front to back, ensuring adequate sun protection for all family members. It has a smaller footprint than other wagons. This isn't suitable for long journeys or naps.

The frame of the Xplore wagon feels solid and sturdy, but it doesn't bend as much as other wagons we have tested. It is also more difficult than other wagons to fold, and it isn't able to lock securely once folded. It is easy to move however, and it can be able to fit through narrow 28-inch doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side-by-Side

This basic double stroller from Delta Children is an excellent choice for parents looking for an affordable, second-hand travel stroller. It was awarded an impressive score in our Strollers & Multiples test for weight and size folded that means it's light, compact when folded and easy to put into a car trunk or closet. It also has an adjustable recline seat that can be adjusted in multiple positions and an integrated cup holder for the parent. Other features of note include 360-degree shock-absorbing front wheels and two large storage bags that hang from the ceiling.

In our test of push and turn, it did better than most of the other strollers of a similar price we test, but it's not the most comfortable to maneuver over uneven ground or through narrow doors. The sunshades are among the ones we tested the smallest, providing only direct overhead coverage, and no peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 has a more extensive canopy.

The Delta took us just under 3 minutes to put together using an average manual and no components required tools. But, it's lacking some critical features we believe you should not compromise on for a double stroller for example, a larger basket and reclining seats that have adjustable leg rests.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is the most recent addition to Maxi-Cosi's pushchair range and is billed as an urban travel system. It can be used from birth until around 3.5-years-old. The carrycot and seat can be easily converted in just a few clicks. It can be used with Maxi-Cosi capsule car seats and comes with the light Mico 30 infant car seat, a stay-incar base, and a reversible car.

The seat can be reclined with one hand, and the large shopping basket makes it simple for parents to help their child in and out. This compact single pushchair can handle everyday bumps and doorways effortlessly.

The front wheels are able to be locked in a forward direction and can also pivot. This is helpful for navigating through rough terrain. While walking through the stony trail, we allowed them to swivel and it handled this fairly well although it did seem a little bumpier than others on test.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2

Baby Jogger is best known for its 3-wheeled, all-terrain strollers for jogging. But they also produce a wide range of 4-wheeler pushchairs. City Tour 2 is their most well-known model. It folds easily and fits easily in the boot of a car even with the carrycot attached.

It's heavier than other strollers we tested, but because it has rubber composite wheels, it feels sturdy and well-made. It is easy to maneuver over various terrains and even with two children, a shopping bag and other things.

The carrycot and seat both have hoods that can be pulled down to reveal sun canopy extensions that are UV50+. They are durable and waterproof, in contrast to other hoods for prams, which can be blown back onto toddlers faces.

It's not a lot of storage space, but it comes with a large basket deep enough to hold a change bag or plenty of food. You can also use it with the Baby Jogger car seat that is suitable for babies that weigh up to 20 pounds (car seat and adapters are available separately). The City Tour 2 is a ideal choice for those looking to use a stroller on the move.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

When the Nuna Mixx first appeared on the scene, it stole the hearts of parents across the world. It's a stroller made of aluminum which can be used from baby's first days to beyond. It is a standout model with many unique features, like the ability of the seat to be turned between parent and world facing and a huge UPF50+ canopy, an eye-shade that flips out, as well as an adjustable handlebar.

The canopy/seat features two extra-large fixed or flip out sun visors, both of which are UPF50+. However, the toggle closure isn't perfect because it's not as quiet as Velcro and can wake sleepy babies.

The Duet is a angled stroller that can be used for twins or siblings. (Up to 22kg per seat). It's compatible with two infant car seats and even works with some carrycots. In twin mode, the seats can be placed so that they face each the other. They can also be set towards the parents. This will help lessen sibling fights about who sits with dad and mom. It has a huge gear tray, bottle holder, snack trays and a change mat. It also comes with an automatic frame lock and a superior compact fold.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2.
