If you're on a tight budget and don't require a stroller that doubles into car seat carriers, the Babyzen Yoyo is a good choice. It has a simple one-step foot brake that's flip flop comfortable.

It's easy to push and it feels solid when you are navigating kerbs and woodland paths. It's also a breeze to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned a reputation as the most lightweight single stroller stroller, both for city dwellers as jet-setters. The base frame alone weighs less than a kilo and is so light you can lift it directly from the box (and do it using one hand).

The hood, for example, snaps on the YOYO2 in a reassuring way. It is also machine washable up to 30 degrees which helps prevent stains caused by smushed carrot puffs and rice cakes. The Newborn Pack and bassinet can be used from birth as an infant stroller. It can also be transformed into a stroller at 6 months by using the YOYO connect other chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2,

Baby Jogger is most well-known for its 3-wheeled, all-terrain strollers that jog. However, they also manufacture a vast selection of pushchairs with four wheels. City Tour 2 is their most well-known model. It is simple to fold and fits easily into the car's boot even with an attached carrycot.

It is heavier than the other strollers we've test, but since it has rubber composite wheels, it feels sturdy and well-made. It is easy to maneuver on different terrains, and even with two children as well as a shopping bag and other things.

The seat and carrycot both come with hoods with pull-down sun canopy extensions that are UV50+. They are water-resistant and durable, unlike some other prams' hoods that are whipped back into toddlers' faces.

It doesn't have a lot of storage space but it has a large, deep basket to hold a change bag or a large amount of groceries. The brakes are easy to use, using a single, colour coded and flip-flop-friendly.

7. Babyzen Duet

This budget single pushchair is surprisingly easy to handle and has excellent dual suspension, a one-hand fold and a practical carry strap. It is also lightweight and sturdy. The seat is reclined in many positions and comes with a built-in double breathable mattress that's suitable for babies from birth.

The canopy/seat comes with two extra-large fixed or flip-out sun visors, both of which are UPF50+. However, the toggle closure isn't perfect - it's not as silent as Velcro and can wake sleepy babies.

The Duet is a angled stroller that can be used for twins or siblings. (Up to 22kg per seat). It is compatible with two infant car seat and some carrycots. In twin mode the seats can be set so that they face each the other. They can also be oriented to face the parents. This will help lessen sibling fights over who sits with dad and mom.
