UPVC Replacement Door Handles

As time passes, the handles on your doors will wear down and require replacement. It is important to be able to match the dimensions of the handles that were previously used when replacing them.

The three measurements you need to examine are the top screw's position the lever and key hole dimensions. Use the size guide to aid you.

Inline Lever/Lever

Additionally, certain cylinders are available with extra features that increase security even more, like anti-drill or anti-bump properties.

A euro cylinder should be properly measured to ensure it is the correct size for your door. The cylinder needs to be measured from the screw hole at the center to the ends of the cylinder. This includes the thumb turn, if there is one. If you cannot measure with the lock in position, you can take it out of it. A cylinder that is protruding beyond the handle and escutcheon may be vulnerable to attacks such as snapping locks, so it is essential that it is not too long.

Most modern cylinders are designed with anti-drill and bump resistance features that are built into their design. These are designed to reduce attack chances by forcing the cylinders to turn in a new direction. This will help to deflect an attack and ensure your door is secure.

Certain cylinders are constructed to withstand snapping. This is a common occurrence on cylinders. A specially designed tool is used to break the break line of the lock and the front of the cylinder is snapped off. This is faster and more straightforward than gaining access through multipoint locks. It also leaves no evidence of a burglary, which could hinder the insurance claim.

Spring Cassette
