The Best Robot Hoover

The best robotic mop and vacuum robot hoover can mop and vacuum without needing your attention. It will leave your floors clean. Its low cost and features that are high-end (such as dirt detection) are a plus.

The Q5 and Q7 Max Series both scored excellently in our tests on floors that were bare, and they are particularly adept at cleaning dog hair. However, they do have a few flaws however, which hinder them from being our top option. One of the weaknesses of the Q5 is that its navigation system doesn't have AI-powered obstacles avoidance. It's thus susceptible to become stuck on socks and shoes and couldn't navigate through rooms with a lot of people well in our tests. Also, it doesn't have cameras that let it see the corners of an area.

It's still a good value particularly if your office or home has lots of unfinished flooring and you're looking to save money. It's also extremely quiet and can be used while you are at work or at school. The only thing it's missing that you can't find in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming on floors that aren't clean. It's also less effective when it comes to mopping. It relies on disposable wet wipes, which don't stick well and isn't able to handle dried-on debris. The Q5 is self-emptying cradle that can be emptied by itself. And, if you need to, you can swap the mopping pad for dry ones in just a few minutes.

2. IRobot Roomba X30

It's a little more expensive than the iRobot Combo v9+ and iRobot Roomba j9+, however it offers superior suction, a built-in dust bin that automatically emptys into its base, and also supports voice commands using Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It can also clean the floor even after it has vacuumed. This is something we haven't seen before on other robot vacuum/mop combination.

3. Roomba X40 from iRobot

With a sleek, circular design that looks more like a normal Roomba than the competition's boxy units This mop and robot vacuum is one of the most attractive designs in our tests. The newest model from iRobot is its most advanced, with advanced features including Enhanced Dirt Detection Technology as well as future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that is able to wash mop pads).

It's the only robotic hoovers mop or vacuum to score 100% in our evaluations due to a mix of high-tech sensors, including cameras, a structured light system and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot we tested that could fill and empty its basestation autonomously. It also boasted an industry-leading suction of 12,000Pa as well as self-cleaning mops.

The smart robot uses LIDAR and structured lighting to create floor plans and detect obstacles. It navigates more intelligently than its premium competitors. It also has a camera mounted on the front for real-time hazard detection, although this wasn't quite reliable in our tests and was often confused by power cords or other obstructions.

Its vacuum cleaner has an maximum suction of 7,000 Pascals which is more than enough to complete the task. It also comes with a feature known as "Intelligent Dirt Detection", that regulates the vacuum's power and adjusts the frequency of cleaning for different areas in the house depending on how dirty the areas are.

For larger homes it's recommended to choose a model with zone or spot cleaning modes that let you tell the robot vacuum cleaners reviews to clean one particular area of your home via the app or via voice commands. A stair mode can be beneficial if you have number of furniture.
