Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that vacuum and clean provide the convenience of cleaning both dry debris and wet mess in one time without the need to switch devices. They can also reduce space in comparison to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.

A good robot vacuum combination bot will provide excellent navigation and obstacle avoidance. Find models that automatically empty their bin and refill their water tank, and wash their mopping pads with an appropriate dock.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It has plenty to offer for its low cost and is one of the easiest robots we've tested to set up. Unpacking is easy and the quick-start guide will have you up and running in no time with an entire dust bag, water tank, and a hard floor solution.

The S1 Pro is a powerful small machine that can cleans up a mess and vacuums well too. The mops spin at high speeds and can apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, which makes short work of pet hair, dirt and dried sticky spills. The vacuum cleaner has four power settings, a range of brushes and attachments as well as an intuitive app that lets you choose the type of cleaning you'd like to do for each room.

For instance, you could choose to have the robot clean up the living and kitchen areas but go easy on the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro's front colision sensors and smart navigation tech are excellent too, with the robot hoover and mop being capable of detecting tiny obstacles that other models struggle with. The only issue it has is that it tends to smash into walls and other objects at full speed - but just a glance at the cleaning history in the app tells you exactly what it's doing as well as where it's heading, and which obstacles it's avoided.

A large LCD screen on the docking station tells the maintenance tasks that must be completed including emptying the debris tray, and cleaning the dirty water tank. It is also able to mix detergent into the water tank automatically by using a 600ml eufy solution.

Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long running time. The mop can run for 184 mins in Quiet Mode and the automatic vacuum cleaner and mop can last 136 mins in normal mode, before needing to recharge or returning back to the base. And you can see the full cleaning details in the app, which is intuitively laid out and is easy to comprehend although we would like to be able to distinguish between a vacuum only or mop clean, when examining a cleaned area in the cleaning history.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the most recent version of the company's top robot vacuum with mop mop and vacuum. The model of this year features two agitators built into its mopping pad. This increases the carpet cleaning capabilities of this model. This is the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed, however, it's also the most loaded with features. Its sleek and angular design is striking and only has three physical buttons. The power button, which also resumes the cleaning mop function, a button for cleaning that doubles as a child-lock and a home button to send the robot to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid reveals the 350ml dust bin as well as a 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically empties and the bin automatically refills.

The only drawback I could find in this model was the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't movable. While you can replace the mopping cloth (if needed), it's a pain to remove the mount itself for manual washing. I've noticed that any plush carpet the best robot vacuum and mop crosses will be in contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, and that can cause scratches.

The S8 Pro Ultra has a variety of smart features, including support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. The Roborock app allows you to manage and set up these features. It also contains maps and advanced mopping options. The app allows you to schedule cleanings and monitor the battery life and maintain your components. You'll need to go through a series of steps to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame, considering how efficient it is otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's among the most expensive available and comes with many additional features that set it apart. The mops are equipped with a new feature called Smart DuoScrub. It uses two high-speed mops to scrub floors more thoroughly than the standard method, and has an impressive suction power of 7,000Pa. This is more than that of the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni, and it can clean pet hair and other small dirt particles - and also pick up spills and wet spots.

The mop mops are cleaned and dried at the base station every time they are used. This feature is great as it keeps mould and unpleasant odours that can build up in storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a feature we haven't seen before on other robot mop or vacuum models. It could be a great way to keep your home cleaner longer.

There are plenty of options, including the ability to schedule cleaning times and adjust preferences. The app lets you make these settings or you can utilize the buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and provides a number of options for customizing your cleaning routine. It also comes with many functions that are not available on other robots, for instance the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction whenever it detects dust particles.

The L20 Ultra is also one of the most elegant robots we've seen on market, sporting metallic and white design that is elegant and stylish. It's a bit heavier at 4kg than the other robots listed on this list but it's not too heavy. It feels solid and well-built. Mopping is also well-designed and the double-rotating mops work well on hard floors as well as in corners. They can also reach down to 2mm of baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature which is a nice feature.
