The best automatic vacuum cleaner Robot Hoover

The best robot hoover can vacuum and mop without needing your attention. It leaves your floors spotless. Its price is surprisingly low and top-of-the-line features (such as dirt detection) are a plus.

Both the Q5 and the Q7 Max Series get very high scores on our bare floor tests, and they're particularly adept in removing pet hair. There are some issues, however, that prevent them from being our top choice. One of the weaknesses of the Q5 is that its navigation system doesn't include AI-powered obstacle avoidance. It's also prone to become stuck on shoes and socks and couldn't navigate densely packed rooms very efficiently during our tests. It also doesn't come with cameras that let it see the corners of a room.

It's still a good value particularly if your home or office has a lot of unfinished flooring and you're looking to save some money. Additionally, it's quiet and can be used when you're at work or school. It lacks the edge-to-edge bare floor vacuuming feature that's offered by the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30. It's also less effective at mopping. It is dependent on disposable wet wipes that don't adhere well and aren't able to deal with dried-on debris. The Q5 has a self-emptying cradle that can be emptied by itself. And, if you have to, you can switch the mopping pad to a dry one in seconds.

2. IRobot Roomba X30

The iRobot Roomba X30 packs impressive mopping and vacuuming into a compact, sleek package. Its agile navigation and intelligent cleaning maps make it quick to clean and efficient in taking on larger particles, such as pet hair. It also has a self-emptying bin with powerful suction and support for virtual boundaries. It's the most efficient robot vacuum with mop hoover for carpets, though it lags behind some competitors in deep cleaning.

This high-performance vacuum and mop utilizes sensor technology that can keep away from obstacles and pet waste. It also learns the structure of your home over time and ensure more efficient cleaning. The app allows you to set up zones and modify the cleaning robot mop and vacuum schedule. It has a battery life that is similar to other models.

You can tell the X30 Ultra to remove its mops and extend them when in a room with carpet to prevent cross-contamination. Its flex arm is also ideal to get under furniture with low levels and along baseboards. It's more expensive than iRobot Combo v9+ or iRobot Roomba j9+ but has superior suction and an onboard bin that automatically empty into the base. It also supports voice commands via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It can also clean the floor even after it has vacuumed. This is a feature that we haven't seen on other robot vacuum/mop combination.

3. Roomba X40 from iRobot

The robot vacuum and mop combination is sleek and has a circular design that looks more like the regular Roomba model than the boxy models of the competition. It is one of our most attractive looking robot vacuums. The latest model from iRobot is also the most intelligent. It comes with advanced features, like Enhanced Dirt Detection and future compatibility (another company's robot that can wash mop pads in a self-cleaning manner).

It's also the sole robot vacuum or mop that scored a perfect 10 out of 10 in our testing. This is due to the combination of high-tech sensors including a structured light system, a camera, and a variety of lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot we tested that can completely autonomously refill and empty its base station, and it boasts the industry's highest suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mop pads.

The X40 is, like the other iRobot products, is simple to operate. It has an intuitive mobile application interface, and it is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only issue is that the X40 is still a noisy unit. This can be a problem in mornings before work or at night when you are trying to sleep.

It's also quite expensive, although it's not as expensive as the Ecovacs X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 MaxV Ultra both of which are equally capable and more attractive. If you're willing to put up with a bit more noise and some additional cost, this is a very efficient two-in-one device that should satisfy most people.

iRobot L20 Ultra

If you have a bigger home, it is worth choosing a model that has zones or spot cleaning modes. This lets you tell the robot which area of your home must be cleaned by using the app or voice command. A stairway mode is useful if you have a lot furniture. Finally the recharge and resume feature that lets your robot vacuum take over exactly where it left off is ideal for busy families.

iRobot RX3

The RX3 is a more efficient cleaner than you might imagine from its price. It is a great job cleaning, removing 55% of debris in our tests (it was second only to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mopses using a single pad and a rotating motion that is more efficient than most of the robot mop cleaners that we've examined. And it's highly self-sufficient with a full-featured app and an auto-emptying, washable base.

The well-designed iRobot app will guide you through an initial mapping session that collects data about your floorplan as well as any "no-go" areas you have marked on the map. It can be used to create cleaning schedules or create an best automatic vacuum spot-clean. You can also use it to rank your most filthy areas for greater efficiency. The app offers a variety of features, including seasonal suggestions, custom mapping, and advanced cleaning settings.
