Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that vacuum and mop offer the convenience of cleaning dry debris (dust dirt, grit) and wet mess (spills and staining) in one time without having to swap out devices. They can also save space when compared to two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.

A good combination bot will have excellent navigation and obstacles avoidance. Find models that automatically empty their bins and fill up their water tank, and wash their mopping pads from the dock that is specifically designed for them.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It's among the easiest robots to install that we've tested. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and an easy-to-follow guide will have you up and running with a clean, full dust bag, floor solution for hard floors and water tank in a matter of minutes.

The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can automatic vacuum and mop and mop well. The mops spin at fast speeds and apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, allowing for quick removal of dirt, pet hair and dried sticky spills. The mop can operate for 184 mins in Quiet Mode, and the vacuum can last 136 mins in normal mode, prior to needing to recharge or returning back to the base. And you can see the complete cleaning details within the app, which is intuitively laid out and easily understood, though we would like to be able to distinguish between a vacuum and mop and vacuum clean when looking at a cleaned area in the history of cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's top-of-the-line robot mop and vacuum, is the newest version. The model this year has an agitator that doubles as its mopping pad. This improves the carpet cleaning capabilities of this model. The S8 Pro Ultra has an enhanced suction power that allows it to pick up finer hairs and other debris other robotic cleaners could miss.

Like the other two Roborock models I've tried, this one has reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology that help it avoid walls, furniture and other obstacles. But the S8 Pro Ultra takes things an extra step by having a dual camera that can detect objects and determine whether they are a wall or another type of surface. It will then automatically alter its direction and clean them without missing a beat.

It's the most expensive model I've tested however it also comes with the most features. Its sleek and angular design is eye catching and only has three physical buttons. The power button, which also resumes the cleaning mop function, a button for cleaning that doubles as a child-lock and a home button to bring the robot vacuum best to its dock. The hinged lid can be opened to reveal a 350ml dustbin and 200ml water tank. The water tank will empty itself and the bin auto-filling.

The only downside I've discovered with this model was that its VibraRise mop pad mount is not removable. While you can swap out the mopping cloth (if it's required) however, it's a hassle to remove the mount to wash manually. I've noticed that any carpet that the robot vacuums best touches will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener on mounts, which can cause abrasions.

The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart features which include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. The Roborock app lets you manage and set up these features. It also contains maps and advanced mopping options. The app also lets you to schedule cleanings and monitor the life of batteries and maintenance on components. But you'll need to jump through a few hurdles to allow voice control with this model which is a pity considering the quality of its performance.

3. Dreame X40

It can be controlled through the Dreame app or via Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for smooth voice-controlled operation.

The app is user-friendly and easy to use and the X40's intelligent features are a breeze to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at certain times. They can also adjust suction power, switch modes, view floor plans and maps and manage mopping settings. The X40 can also track its progress and inform you when it's finished.

The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with many convenient features that make it an excellent option for busy families. The docking station will automatically empty the dustbin and wash the mop pads, then refill them with fresh cleaning solution and water. It also can detect if the mop pad has reached its maximum capacity and notify you of the situation prior to it bursting.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a high-end best robot vacuum that's among the most expensive models available, but it packs in many extra features that distinguish it from. The mops come with a brand new feature called Smart DuoScrub that uses two high-speed mops to scrub floors more thoroughly than the standard method, and it comes with a high maximum suction power of 7,000Pa. This is higher than Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also vacuum up pet hair, dirt particles, and clean up spills and soiled spots.

The mops are also cleaned and dried inside the base station after every use. This is beneficial as it keeps mould and unpleasant odours from accumulating in the storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is an option we haven't seen before on other robot vacuum and mop models. It could be a great method to keep your home clean longer.

There are plenty of options, including the ability to schedule cleanings and change preferences. These settings can be adjusted via the app, or via buttons on the device itself. The app is easy to use and offers a variety of options to customize your cleaning routine. It also has many features that aren't offered on other robots, for instance the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction when it detects dust particles.

The L20 Ultra is also one of the most elegant robots we've seen in the market, with a white and metallic design that is elegant and stylish. It's a bit heavier than the other two-in-1 robots on this list, at 4kg but it's not too heavy, and is sturdy and well-built. Mopping is well-designed and the double-rotating mop is a great choice for hard floors or in corners. The MopExtend feature allows them to reach even 2mm below the baseboards.
