If you need to clean the mopping pad, it can be swapped for a wet one in just a few seconds.

It is one of our most appealing looking robot vacuum that vacuums and mops vacuums. The latest model from iRobot is also among its most advanced. It has advanced features, like Enhanced Dirt Detection and future compatibility (another company’s robot that can wash mop pads on its own).

It's the only robotic mop or vacuum to score a perfect 10 in our testing due to a mix of high-tech sensors, which include cameras, a structured light system and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot we tested that could refill and empty its basestation in a self-contained manner. It also boasted a suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mop mops.

It also has a camera mounted on the front to detect hazards in real-time, although this wasn't quite foolproof in our testing and was often confused by power cords or other obstructions.

Its vacuum has a high suction maximum of 7,000 Pascals which is more than enough to finish the job. It also features "Intelligent Dirt Detection", which regulates the intensity at which the vacuum works and alters the frequency of cleaning for various areas of the house depending on how dirty they tend to be.

If you own a larger home, it is worth choosing a model that has zones or spot cleaning modes. This allows you to instruct the robot on which part of your home must be cleaned using the app or voice command. If you have a lot of furniture, a stair-mode is also useful.
