World of Warcraft - item upgrader Upgrading

Item upgrading allows players to boost the gear score of an item to 700 and add an additional perk. Items can be upgraded by keeping them in inventory and heading to the kiln.

Certain items can be upp'd to increase their stats (like a perfectly broken point armour that is rolled for melee PvP) while others like weapons don't change much post upgrade and thus aren't worth upgrading.

Weapons

Upgrades to weapons can increase their numerical stats, including attack damage, crit probability and PvE/PvP damage. Weapons come with a flat rate bonus that increases damage per second. In addition, many weapons have an added bonus that is activated when three or more of the same weapon are equipped on a single unit. In certain instances, this bonus could amount to more than the amount of damage a weapon is able to upgrade on its own.

The cost of upgrading a weapon is based on the quality of the weapon and its current level. For instance an item with a rating of +2 will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade while a +3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade a weapon will increase until it needs an upgrade to a higher level of Smithing Stones. At that point it will reset to one.

Upgrades to weapons also reroll the stats of the base. This is usually a good factor, but it could also have negative effects. In the case of items that only see use in a specific build (Whistant's shield for FB sorcs, for instance) upgrading them could render them unusable unless you happen to have an extremely fortunate roll.

Armor items can also be upgraded to boost their stats. For instance, if you have chests or helms, it will boost the defense of its base, while gloves and belts will increase their strength and dexterity. Armor also offers an option to reroll its Enhanced Defense percent, which means that it may change its roll to a lower value.

The upgrade template for a weapon will display the new stats that it will gain when upgraded and their relative values. This means that an upgrade from a sword that has 8 damage to an 11-attack-damage sword will result in a weapon gaining 33% attack damage. The 3% doesn't mean that the weapon will hit 3 times less, as it is an absolute number.

A weapon can also be rerolled using the green button, which is accompanied by circling arrows in the menu for items. The item upgrade will be rerolled and alter its stats, but it will not reset the weapon's levels or connect it to an account's status.

Armor

A few armor upgrades can make the world of difference to your survivability. Certain sets can offer massive increases in resistance to curses, poisons fire, magic, and other. This can make it easier to get through difficult areas. Generally speaking, the more defense your character has the more value you get from every point of health you have, so it's important to upgrade your armor as much as you can.

To upgrade your armor, go to one of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four Great Fairy Fountains within the game and in order to unlock them all, you must complete a side quest that involves the Stable Trotters. After you've completed your main quest, and the corresponding fountains, you'll have the option of talking to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the menu for upgrading armor.

The amount of materials required to upgrade each piece of armor is different. It is possible to use anything from three Red Chuchu jelly and 10 Rupees to upgrade the first armor piece, and between five Rubies or 10 Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns to upgrade each subsequent one. The Champion Leathers, for instance, can be upgraded to an increase of 5 defense rating, which allows you to stay ahead in frigid environments with a large number of enemies. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other side, can be upgraded to +20 defense so that you're able to survive a battle with friends.

It's important to note that armor cannot be upgraded in the same way as weapons, so you'll need to work on enhancing it to increase physical power if you're Warrior or Spell Power when you're Mage. It is also recommended to save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor you will still be wearing by the end of the story, such as the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you wear in the final boss fight, the Monter Parts Merchant Mask.

You can also get some perks for your armor by presenting the jeweler in Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. You'll generally want to save these upgrades for the weapon that you'll use to beat the game. For instance the Longsword or Battleaxe. But it's useful to have some upgrades to the chest armor and helmets so that you can escape some monsters.

Potions

Potions are bottled substances that, when consumed give the player an effect on their status for a short period of time. There are five different types of potions, each with a specific set of effects and durations. Some potions may be upgraded, increasing the effectiveness of their effects. Alternatively the effects of certain potions can be enhanced by adding redstone or glowstone dust the potions.

Upgrades to potion cost a certain amount of XP. These can be earned by making them on a table or in an chest of the Alchemist. However, the upgrade price changes depending on what type of potion you'd like to upgrade, as well as on the item upgrades's Mark Level and Rarity.

To upgrade a potion, click right on it in your inventory and choose the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This will open a GUI in which you can select the potions you want to upgrade and the amount of XP they'll produce when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches up to five at once, and their XP will be added to the total XP you currently have.

When a poton is upgraded, it will not degrade in the event that you take it out again or break the bottle within the container it is kept. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will allow you to change its name.

Version 1.7.2 brought a few changes to the mechanics of potions. For example the splash potions now have an average duration of 0:08 (this is not the same as 22.5 seconds shown on the hover display for the item upgrade). The table of potion can now be crafted with four Wood Planks and two Glass. This allows it to be used by players in Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions are not compatible with cauldrons, as is the case with Java Edition. The same is true for using a potion within the cauldron that is filled. This will draw out the liquid, and then refill the bottle.

Finally, there are simmering potions made using dragon breath and splash potions. Redstone is also added to lingering potions to enhance their effects. The table of potions has been rearranged to appear more like the Java Edition. New potions are also added, for instance, the potion of leaping as well as decomposition.

Trinkets

A trinket is a small and inexpensive ornament or piece of jewelry. It could also be a small ornament or object that serves a purpose, but is not important such as a trinket. In certain cultures, a trinket is used to express affection or friendship between family members.

In addition to weapons, armor and potions, players can upgrade their trinkets. They can be upgraded by going to an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate currency. As with other upgrades to items, trinkets can be exchanged at will without losing their status.

Upgrade vendors are located at the capitals of each zone, and sometimes in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are available using tokens, gold or fragments of trinkets that are rare.

The upgrade of a trinket can be an economical alternative to buying new ones. It can be done by a player for as little as 12 tokens. The new trinket comes with the same base level as the old trinket, but it also comes with an additional 1% bonus upgrade.

When the old Trinkets are not usable they can be upgraded. This allows players to increase their power and value with time. They can be traded among players which makes them a good alternative to gold.

In general players should upgrade their highest priority items first. This means that the top-in slot items for each class are first upgraded before their secondary gear, and then other pieces of equipment that will not replace anytime soon (such as an earring or a cloak). Players should also take into consideration their class's preferred stats when deciding which items to upgrade. For example, if Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for tankers, they should prioritize upgrading their helm, chest, shoulders, and belt.

Trinkets are able to be upgraded to a higher level once they no longer have value, and the new trinket can be upgraded to have an additional upgrade bonus of 1. A re-upgrade, however, will destroy the trinket unless it can be salvaged with the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a higher tier salvage tool. This means upgrading trinkets is more expensive than other upgrades, however it is still less expensive than buying the new one.
