Path of Exile Item Upgrading

The ability to upgrade item (https://king-bookmark.stream/story.php?title=the-history-of-item-upgrading-8) items allows players to upgrade their weapons and gear by adding new affixes that boost its stats base or adding additional perks. To upgrade items, the player must have the item in their inventory and access the kiln.

Upgrade components

Leveling

Path of Exile's upgrade process differs from the previous versions in a few key ways. Gear is now classified into tracks and each item can be upgraded so many times before it is "leveled out." The cost of upgrading increases with each level, but the materials needed do not.
