WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a an increase in specific statistics. Each upgrade increases the level of the item by +3. Each upgrade also boosts an unspecified substat.

Upgraded gear is generally more useful, unless the item has low requirements by nature (like FB sorc shields) or a high stat variance (like eth Titan weapons). Upgrades are not as valuable for the latter due to the need to roll a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade gear to a higher level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of weapon or armor. The item upgrader kit used to upgrade the item will be consumed and can't be used again. Upgrades can be used to create enchantments.

You can upgrade your gear at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended to visit the upgrader at least once every few weeks to ensure that your equipment is up-to-date.

Valorstones

It's also important to use crests wisely, as they only have one use. For instance it's a good idea use all of your Whelpling-rank crests on the Best item upgrader equipment you have and keep Drake and Wyrm crests for the next round of upgrades you're planning on making. This is especially true for items such as trinkets and rings that take up multiple slots. The account-wide discount is only applicable when all slots on the character are filled with high-quality gear.
