World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading

The upgrade option lets players increase an item's gear rating up 700 points, and then add a final bonus. Items can be upgraded by having them in inventory before heading to the kiln.

Certain items are worth upgrading because of their unique stats. (For instance an excellently broken point armor that is rolled can be used in melee PvP). Other items, like weapons don't really change after an upgrade and therefore aren't worth the cost.

Weapons

Weapons can be upgraded to increase their numeric stats such as damage to attack, crit chance PvE and damage from PvP. Weapons come with a flat-rate bonus that increases damage per second. Some weapons also have a fixed bonus that is activated when three or more identical weapons are used in a single unit. This bonus can sometimes exceed the damage that an upgrade alone can do.

The cost of upgrading a weapon is contingent on its rarity and current level. For example an item upgrading with a rating of +2 will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade while a +3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade the gun will increase until it requires a higher level of Smithing Stones. At that point it will reset to one.

Upgrades to weapons also reroll the stats of the base. This is usually a good aspect, but it may also have negative consequences. Upgrades can render items impossible to use, unless you are extremely lucky.

Armor items can also be upgraded to increase their stats. This can increase the defense base of a helm or chest as well as belts and gloves. These can boost their strength and agility. Armor has a rerolling option for its Enhanced Defense percent. This means that it may reroll down to a lower value.

The upgrade template for a weapon will display the new stats it will get when upgraded and their respective values. This means that a weapon will gain 33% attack damage when it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. The 3% doesn't mean that the weapon will be hit three times less, since it is an absolute number.

Rerolling a weapon can be possible by pressing the green button in the Item Upgrader Kit menu with the arrows that circle. This will roll an item and change its statistics, but not reset the weapon's levels or connect it to an account's status.

Armor

A few upgrades to your armor can make all the difference in your ability to survive. Certain sets can offer massive increases in resistance to curses, poisons fire, magic, and other. This makes it easier to navigate difficult areas. Generally speaking, the more defense your character is, the more value you will get out of each point of health therefore it is important to upgrade your armor as often as you can.

You can upgrade your armor by visiting any of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four Great Fairy Fountains within the game and to unlock them all, you must complete an additional quest that involves the Stable Trotters. After you've completed the main side quest and completed the corresponding fountain and then you can speak to any Great Fairy to open up the menu for upgrading your armor.

Each piece of armor can be upgraded up to three levels and the amount of material and Rupees required to complete each will vary. In general, you're looking at anything from three to ten Red Chuchu Jellies and ten Rupees for the first upgrade, and anywhere between five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns for each subsequent one. The Champion Leathers, for instance can be upgraded to a +5 defense rating, which will allow you to keep up in cold environments with a lot of enemies. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other hand, can be upgraded to +20 defense, which means you can survive a raid with your comrades.

It's important to note that armor cannot be upgraded the same way as weapons, so you'll have to focus on upgrading it to gain physical strength if you're a Warrior or Spell Power if you're Mage. It's also worthwhile to save your armor upgrades to use for armor you'll wear at the end of the game, like the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield or the helmet you'll wear for the final boss battle and the Monter Parts Merchant's mask.

You can also gain benefits to your armor by giving the jeweler in Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. Generally, you'll want to keep these upgrades for the weapon you'll use to beat the game, like the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer However, it is useful to have a few upgrades of the chest armor and helmets that permit you to sneak past some monsters.

Potions

Potions are liquids that, when consumed by the participant, produce a temporary effect for a short period of time. There are five kinds of potions, each with different effects and durations. Certain potions can be upgraded to enhance their effectiveness. You can also enhance the effects of certain potions by adding redstone dust and glowstone dust.

Upgrades to your potion require a specific amount of XP. This can be earned through crafting them on a crafting table or by placing them in the Alchemist chest. The price of upgrades varies based on the type of potion used and the item level upgrade's rarity and Mark Level.

To upgrade a potion you need to right-click it in your inventory. Then, select "Upgrade" from the menu. This opens a GUI where you can choose the potions you wish to upgrade and the amount of XP they will yield when upgraded. Upgrades to potions can be made in batches of up to five at a time and the XP they provide will be added to your current XP level.

Once a potion is upgraded, it will not be degraded until you re-use it, or break the bottle it's stored in. You can also change the name of the potion by clicking on it in your inventory.

Version 1.7.2 introduced a few modifications to the mechanics of potions. Splash potions for instance are now available with a time of zero, not the 22.5 seconds displayed on the hover display for the item upgrades. The potion table is constructed from four Wood Planks, and two Glass. It is now able to be used in both Survival and Bedrock. Unlike the Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions can't be combined in cauldrons. Additionally, using a potentio on a full cauldron drains the contents and refills the bottle.

Finally, there are lingering potions, which are brewed with splash and dragon breath potions. Redstone can be added to lingering potions to enhance their effect. The potion table is rearranged to look more like the Java Edition. New potions are also added, for instance, the potion of leaping and decomposition.

Trinkets

A trinket is a tiny and cheap ornament or piece of jewelry. It could also be an ornament or object that serves a function but isn't essential, like a thimble. In certain cultures, trinkets are used to symbolize affection or friendship, specifically between family members.

Players can upgrade trinkets as well as weapons, armor, and potions. Upgrades can be purchased by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. Trinkets like other items that can be upgraded can be exchanged at any time without losing stats.

Upgrade vendors are located at the capitals of every zone, and sometimes in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets can be purchased with tokens, gold or fragments of rare trinkets.

Upgrades are a cost-effective alternative to purchasing a new trinket. You can upgrade a trinket for as little as 12 tokens. The new trinket will feature the same base ilvl as old one, and will come with an additional upgrade bonus of 1.

Trinkets can be re-upgraded once they're not needed and allows players to boost their power and value over time. They can be traded between players, making them an alternative to gold.

In general, players should upgrade their most important items first. This means that the Best item upgrade-in slot items for each class are upgraded first, followed by their secondary gear, and then other pieces of equipment they won't replace in the near future (such as a ring or an cloak). When deciding the items to upgrade, players must also consider the class's preferred stats. For instance when Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for a tank, they should be focusing on upgrading their chest, helm shoulders, belt, and helm.

When they are no longer useful, trinkets can be upgraded to a greater level. The new trinket comes with an additional 1% bonus. However, a re-upgrade will cause the trinket to be destroyed until it is salvaged with a Black Lion Salvage Kit or an additional salvage tool of higher quality. This means upgrading trinkets is more expensive than other upgrades, however it is still less expensive than buying a new one.
