WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades provide a guaranteed boost to specific stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by 3. Each upgrade also increases an unspecified substat.

Upgraded gear is generally more valuable, unless it is not required by nature (like FB sorc shields) or a high stat variance (like Eth Titan weapons). These types of gear get less value from upgrading due to the need to roll for a perfect model.

Recycle Points

The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade their gear to a higher level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied on any type of weapon or armor. However, the item used for the upgrade will be consumed forever and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to the enchantments.

The upgrader is located in all major cities and can be accessed anytime to upgrade your gear. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader at least once every few weeks, to keep your equipment up to date.

Upgrades will cost more, based on the level of the item level upgrade, however they'll always be cheaper than purchasing new gear. Upgrades like upgrading a Benthic chest to the level of ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. If you purchase a similar item, it will cost you 105.

Valorstones
