Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades

Upgrades to gear increase its base stats, and sometimes boosts its extras. The value of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements and the amount of random enhancements used.

The racial Shield elite Razortail for instance, is frequently upgraded to enhance its lightning absorption function in PvP, and/or to add additional defenses to missile-based build in the PvM. This makes it more tradable than the perfect non-upgraded version.

Reroll Tokens

Reroll tokens let you buy a new item, such as armor, weapon, or ring. The item is replaced with another item of the same type however with different bonuses. Reroll tokens are an efficient method of upgrading equipment. However, they don't retain the level of the original item and any resources wasted aren't refunded.

The survivors can acquire reroll tokens by a variety of means, including from the Mistery Box or as rare drops from skulled creatures. They can also be found in crates and chests, or purchased from the market for 150k each. Reroll tokens can be used to alter an attribute of the equipment, such as increasing its damage or granting it a brand new stat.

Players can roll equipment in three categories: physical power, spell power, and health. Physical power upgrades boost the damage done by weapons and melee attacks while spell power boosts rings and mage attacks. Health upgrades give the player an additional level of health.

There are three types of Reroll tokens: upgrade, rare and legendary. Each upgrade takes an Best item upgrader to a higher quality, with the requirement of an upgraded reroll token in order to make it. Upgrades require a regular item. Rare upgrades require items that are either unique or legendary. Legendary upgrades require three legendary pieces.

As opposed to other tokens or markers that are placed on action spaces, the reroll marker remains on the space until the next Success result is rerolled. This lets you avoid wasting upgrades.

Blueprints are envelopes which appear at the start of each preparation phase. They can be opened using Interact by pressing on them. When they are opened they show a complete description and icon of the corresponding Appliance or Ingredient. The restaurant's shop will trade blueprints for a brand new appliance or ingredient for an amount of money.

During the course of a run, blueprints can be transferred between the Staple Pool and the Non-staple pool as a result of the choice of Franchise Cards. This affects which blueprints the restaurant's shop sells for rerolls and which are available in the Non-droppable Pool.

Growthstones

In Throne and Liberty, growth stones can be used to improve armor, weapons and other items. These are special stones that increase an item's level by increasing its stats and attributes. They can be found by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs in the major towns. Contract Coin Merchants will sell these stones for a cost. In addition, players can get these stones by completing daily contracts.

To upgrade equipment players first need to find the item they want to upgrade and then click the "level up" button. This will display a menu that shows the item's current status and what it will be after being leveled up and the required amount of Growth Stones to accomplish this. The number of Growth Stones required to upgrade an item will depend on its rarity. Rare (blue), rarer weapons will require more than one Growth Stone, while uncommon armor only requires a single Growth Stone.

After selecting the item to upgrade the player must select the number of Growth Stones that they want to use and pay the cost. Once the player has satisfied the requirements, he is able to click the upgrade button and apply the Growth Stones. This will increase the item's level by a specific percentage. The upgrade process can take between a few seconds and minutes, based on the rarity of the item.

The upgrade process is also risk-free and doesn't affect the item's durability. This makes it an excellent way for players to get an advantage in battle without putting a strain on their bank account. By clicking on the "transfer tab" players can transfer the experience and progression of an upgraded item onto a new piece of gear.

For new players, it can be difficult to obtain Growth Stones. However, there are numerous ways to acquire them, including completing contracts and purchasing them from the Contract Coin Merchant, defeating Abyssal Contract enemies, obtaining them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book, or getting them from the reward chests of the Ancient Arena season. Players can also break down the higher-level Growth Stones into multiple lower-level stones.

Leveling

Leveling is a feature that allows players to increase the base stats of weapons, armor, helms, and trinkets. The Upgrade Station allows you to combine an item with upgrade materials, and then pay a fee in Happy Tickets or Happy Stars. The process will use up the upgrade materials and give the item an increased level, which gives the item an additional boost in that area. This process can be repeated until the highest level for an item has been attained.

Items with upgraded base stats will display the blue icon in their slot. Upgrade components, unlike enchantments, cannot be applied to more than one item at the same time. Each upgrade component requires an amount of items and a minimum level of equipment.

The Upgrade Station is divided into two slots. On the left side, players can choose to add items to be upgraded. On the right, an image of the gear will look like at its next level. Pressing the yellow arrow after a player has sufficient materials will begin the upgrade process.

A piece of equipment can be upgraded up to five times. Each time an item is upgraded, its stats will be increased by a small percentage. The maximum level for an item is 19.

Once an item reaches the highest level, upgrades will no longer be available for it. Likewise, once an item upgrader kit; for beginners, reaches the level of a specific upgrade track (e.g. Upgrades for the Veteran or Explorer track will be discounted.

Upgrade components are a type of equipment that can be inserted into armors, weapons trinkets, gathering tools and other trinkets to give an extra effect or attribute bonus when the equipment is in use. They can be bought from vendors, looted or obtained through questing. They can also be traded between players. Upgrade components can be replaced with new ones, however doing so will damage the previous upgrade, except for glyphs which can be removed and replaced at will.

Requirements

Upgrades to items allow players to increase the stats of certain armors and weapons they already have. The requirements to upgrade an item differ based on the type of item but generally, you'll need Dilithium and a variety of Upgrade Tokens (various options available).

The upgrade items can be incorporated into equipment sets and weapons for added effects or a higher level of the item. The upgrades can be acquired through a variety of sources in the game, including crafting, bought at the Trading Post or karma vendors, looted from bosses and raids, or retrieved from dungeons. Once an upgrade component is placed in an item it cannot be removed and changed without restriction, however, glyphs placed in gathering tools can be swapped without limitation.

The upgrade of an item can boost its Mark Level and/or Rarity. Additionally, some upgrade components have additional modifiers that can enhance the stats of the item.

The upgrade to the helm "Foundation of the Sun" for instance, increases defense base and adds an additional 20 percent chance to block. Additionally, the dps upgrade "Wildfire" increases damage to weapons.

Certain items are better off being upgraded less because of their improved stats, but for the fact that it lets players get the maximum amount of value from a perfect roll on the item. For instance, a perfectly rolled 200/6 504 armor set piece is highly sought-after in the melee PvP community and could be worth 20-50 times the value of the unupp'd version.

The game will highlight the requirements once you choose the upgrade component to be incorporated into the item. This includes the type of item (either Armor or Weapon) and the tier of the item level upgrade, the upgrade Token required, as well as the amount of progress required to complete the upgrade.

Once you've satisfied the conditions for upgrading, the game will place the item in your inventory, and the progress bar will be updated to show how close you are to completing it. You can also track the status of an upgrade by visiting any NPC who upgrades items.
