Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

Item upgrade item, commonly referred to as "upping," improves an item's stats. Each upgrade increment boosts the stat linearly.

Players can recycle six items at once to get a gauge of each item's upgraded component. The cost of recycling items increases according to their rarity and level.

Upgrade components

In Guild Wars 2, an upgrade to an item is a method to boost the stats of your armor and weapons. This can be accomplished by a variety of methods through the use of upgrade components or increasing the rarity of an Best item upgrader or its mark level. Many items can also be reforged to increase their value.

Upgradeable items are available in the game, both within the world and as rewards for missions. Players can also craft them. Upgrade components are the most common method to upgrade equipment. These are the items that can slot into equipment. The majority of equipment comes with slots for upgrading and some require a specific level of upgrade. Certain upgrade items components offer specific bonuses, while others offer general bonuses.

There are many types of upgrade components in the game, including universal upgrades, inscriptions and jewels. To upgrade an item, select it in your inventory and open the Upgrade window. This will display a preview on the right side of the screen that shows the expected stats after the upgrade, as well as any necessary components or materials. The number of upgrade components required for a specific item is displayed in the upper-right corner of the window for upgrading. Each glyph can increase the value of a stat by specific amount. This is shown on the item's page when you open it in the Glyph Storage. This isn't the actual amount by the glyph can increase the stat, but rather the maximum amount by which it can do so. The value of the glyph depends on the tier and the quality of the product you are enchanting.

Most upgrade components inserted into items cannot be replaced or salvaged without dismantling the equipment in question, unless it is legendary equipment and upgrades. If you have a rune or glyph you don't want to use, but it hasn't been applied to gear yet, you can transfer the item to another piece by using the Upgrade Glyphs menu in the Glyphs Panel. This will create a Glyph Set that includes the selected glyph.

If you are looking to remove a glyph from a piece of, you will need to salvage it with the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. The item where the glyph is placed will be destroyed, but the upgraded item can be recovered using the glyph shards.

If you take an item off after adding a glyph the shards of that glyph will disappear. You can also add the glyph on your equipment to provide a bonus. For instance the glyph Deferred Damage can store damage for the wearer and deal it slowly instead of all at one time. This is beneficial for players who take a lot damage from their enemies but do not want to be overwhelmed.

Reroll tokens

Reroll tokens can be used to alter the affixes of weapons and equipment. They can be obtained from a variety of sources, including mysterious boxes, rare drops from skulled monsters or by killing bosses. Reroll tokens give the player a new random affix, which is usually better than the original one. Reroll tokens can also be a good option to reroll stats on weapons and can be upgraded to increase damage or additional perks.

Rerolled items don't appear in the menu of item upgrades, but they are still able to be upgraded. If you click the "upgrade button" you can recycle these recycled items. This will change the layout of the item's window, and allow up to six items be selected to recycle. The level gauge is increased by recycling an item. The amount is by the item's rarity and also its level. Thus, items with higher levels are more valuable to recycle than lower-leveled ones.

Players can also use Reroll Tokens and Star Remnants to roll rerolling Weapon Traits to upgrade units. Rerolls roll a percentage chance of a weapon's traits. A reroll is a good option for upgrading an item, but players must be aware that it can reduce the overall ilvl the weapon by the number of rerolls needed to raise it to its final ilvl. This effect of lowering is most effective with Diadems and ring items that don't have alternatives to raise their ilvls.

The system of rerolls has been criticised by players for being too expensive, and it would be more fair to let people pay for it using money or a food item that allows players to modify their builds without a lot of time and energy. The developers have no plans to introduce paid rerolls at this stage in the game's development. Instead, they plan to include an ability to change races in the future.

Leveling

There are a number of ways to boost the value of an item upgrade. The first is to increase the amount of upgrade, which increases the value of an upgrade for the stat. The second option is to increase the impact of the upgrade, which increases the healing or damage for the stat. In addition there is the possibility to upgrade the base item to a higher upgrade type. After this, the new item will keep its iLevel however it will benefit from the upgrade effects of the upgraded type of item.

It is important to remember that upgrades can be random. In most cases a better roll is determined by glyphs. However, there are times where a higher or more special roll can occur. The type of the item will determine the iLevel. If you upgrade a rare or unique item to a special kind of item, it has a chance of receiving a higher level.

Upgrades can be expensive, especially if you are upgrading your equipment from the standard track to the legendary. The cost of upgrading a piece of equipment will depend on the iLevel it's built upon and the amount of upgrade levels. Additionally, certain upgrade tracks require crests to reach the next upgrade level.

If you're lucky the upgraded item could get to the top of its upgrade track, and thus unlock an additional effect. This will give you a substantial boost in the upgrade value of the item. The bonus effect will vary with each upgrade level, though. In general, the effect of upgrading is increased a value of +3.

Depending on the item's base level and upgrade process, the iLevel for the upgraded item will change as well. For example an item that has been upgraded from a rare or exclusive item to an exceptional item will have a chance to get the enhanced defense of the new base type of item.
