Path of Exile Item Upgrades

Item upgrades are a common and crucial method to enhance the performance of numerous items in Path of Exile. They can provide extra damage, AD or even affixes.

In most cases, however upgraded Common and Magic gear is often surpassed by Rare-grade gear because of their higher requirements.

Armor

Armor upgrades can be applied to both weapon and armor items. They improve the stats of whatever Best item upgrader they are attached to. Upgrades to armor can be found in the world of the game and are available from Blacksmiths on bonfires. They can also be salvaged using an expert or higher salvage kits to salvage upgrade components from items.

The amount of damage a piece of armor or weapon will absorb is contingent on the level of its upgrades. Upgrading a piece of armor to its highest upgrade level will increase its ability to absorb damage. But, it's important to note that this will also increase its weight, which will cause it to be heavier than it was before.

There are a few different kinds of armor upgrades that are available in the game and they all have distinct effects. Certain upgrades give armor a greater number of health points, while others make it stronger and lighter. The kind of armor upgrade an item can receive will be identified by the name of the upgrade, as illustrated in the table below.

Some upgrades also feature magical or a combination of magic and technology, which is shown by the "Magic" or "Hybrid" entry in the table below. Certain upgrades require charges for use. These are identified as "Charges" entries in the table. The charges for these upgrades change daily or never expire dependent on the upgrade item.

The cheapest way to upgrade armor is with Iron Ore, which can be found through exploring the surroundings and looting minor loot chests. Weapons

Some weapons have special upgrades to improve their inherent characteristics. Frictionless materials (improves stability, and reduces the risk of overheating), and Kinetic coils (increases the projectile's velocity for greater damage) are two examples.

Most weapon upgrades require three Power Dices, a different amount of Minerals and Erons and a whetblade for applying. These can be obtained by completing Side Quests or by killing a certain amount of bosses and monsters.

Upgrades to a weapon, equipment Set piece or Whetblade requires visiting the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine and paying her an upgrade price of a set number of Bars. The higher the upgrade level, the more bars are required to complete it. The cost of upgrades will be lower if you have more than one of the relevant upgrade materials.

In Chapter 2: Season 5, the method of upgrading your weapon and equipment sets was a bit different. Jewels

Jewels can be used to boost the stats of a character or to provide additional effects on weapons and armor. The quality of a diamond can be improved by the Jeweler in stages that vary from Crude to Royal. Based on the tier of the jewel it will give different stat boosts when it is inserted into weapons, gear and jewelry.

The Jeweler can create the highest levels of gems apart from the rare and legendary ones that require an appropriate level to obtain. In contrast to other upgrade components, jewels can be swapped with a identical jewel without damaging it. However, you can only replace the jewels in an equipment piece once.

The use of more jewels in the movement can make it feel more comfortable, and is often performed for aesthetic reasons. The jewels also improve performance and make a surface harder than steel so that repeated friction from pivots do not damage them.

In addition to the upgrades mentioned above additionally, players can get glyphs for their shields and weapons from a Glyphmaster. The player can then acquire necklaces, rings, and amulets in a similar manner to how they acquired weapons and armor. Each piece of equipment has one upgrade slot that can accept either a universal or a jewel upgrade. Universal upgrades are smaller and can be utilized on any device. Jewels cannot be upgraded or replaced and only work with certain trinkets.

These trinkets provide additional buffs and abilities that are active when the hero isn't in combat. This lets the hero be more effective while inactive and also helps make up for a lack of a strong team or the absence of any talent tree slots that normally are filled with the hero's ideal statistics.
