World of Warcraft - Item Upgrade

The feature of upgrading items allows players to increase the item level of equippable weapons or armor. This improves the effectiveness of the equipment, and also sometimes adding buffs or rolling an affix again.

It is important to remember that upgrading magic and common gear isn't always worth the cost. Rare and exclusive gear will quickly outclass upgraded magic and common gear.

Cost

When a player decides to upgrade an item, they must pay Gold for the upgrade. The cost of upgrading an item depends on the current level of the item and type of upgrade. Upgrades to weapons are usually cheaper than upgrades for armor because weapons have lower requirements. The amount of Gold needed increases as an item is upgraded.

Upgraded items will also have upgraded stats that will improve its performance in various ways. This can include increasing its attack power or critical strike chance. The upgraded item can also give additional bonuses to the unit it's equipped with. These upgrades can be used to increase the overall strength of a unit or a single unit, and could significantly impact the gameplay.

The items can be upgraded at any item upgrader NPC in the game. In general NPCs can be found in major cities or questing locations. Players can also locate item upgraders in dungeons that have high-level bosses, or by talking to the NPCs in their garrisons of their faction.

The World of Warcraft item upgrade system allows players to improve the quality of their weapons, armor, and trinkets. The process is similar to that of gear reforging in Mists of Pandaria and Warlords of Draenor however instead of using the currency appropriate to the task players need to visit an item upgrader NPC to complete the process.

Item upgrades can be expensive, particularly when it is related to armor and weapons. Based on the upgrade path you select, each level increase will cost Valorstones or Crests. The cost are prohibitive for those who don't have the funds or are unwilling to grind.

The game allows you to play a reroll of an upgraded item using a special tool from the menu of items. This option will replace the upgraded item with the level 1 version which offers different bonus effects. This is a great way to gain better results on items that have already been upgraded. However, it can be a waste of time.

Requirements

This bonus consists of a guaranteed additional substat as well as a random stat that will vary in value from upgrade to upgrade.

Reroll Tokens can be used to reroll an item that has been upgraded. The new item will have a different set of extra bonuses and a lower level of base item. The rerolled item will have different requirements for strength and dexterity. It is important to note that the rerolled item will not retain its level or have any of its wasted resources.

Some upgraded items are only able to be rerolled if the initial item was a Unique, Rare or Epic. Exceptional items are also allowed to be rerolled, but their original stats will be replaced by an uninvolved bonus. Rerolling an item that is Rare or Epic item will produce an ordinary version, while doing the same with the Epic version will result in an elite version.

Upgraded items could have additional modifiers that can improve their performance and boost their stats. These additional modifiers aren't included in the upgrade cost. You can buy them at the Trading Post, or through other players. They can also be earned by doing specific missions within the game.

To upgrade an item of equipment it is necessary to visit the NPC [Armorto upgrade an item, visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine. You will require Power Dices depending on the item. (Dice 6 are dropped by monsters 21+, Giants and Bosses; Dice 12 can be found from Bosses). You will also need various amounts of Minerals and Erons.

Time is a factor.

Upgrades to items can be used to improve the stats of your ship and gear without the need to level them. They're not cheap, but they can be a great way to boost your stats and not have to spend so much time in battle. It's important to know the benefits and costs prior to making the investment of time or money.

Each upgrade boosts the stats of the item by in a specific amount, and gives a chance to get a bonus substat. During the upgrade process, an item will gradually grow closer to the next stage, but it is not always able to reach its full upgrade bar. This process is based on Growthstones and Sollant however there is an 80% chance of obtaining a fully upgraded item level upgrade within just one cycle. The higher the level an item attains the more stat value will be and the more items can be upgraded.

Upgrade components can be added to weapons, armor and trinkets to give an attribute bonus, or to create a unique effect when the equipment is worn. Certain upgrade components come with cosmetic effects. Players can obtain upgrade items by crafting, purchasing from vendors, or at the Trading Post, looting, or obtaining a reward. Players can also retrieve upgraded items using an upgrade extractor or salvaging using a salvage of a higher tier kit. Glyphs, which are placed in gathering tools are able to be swapped without any restrictions.

A player can reroll an item into a different upgradeable item upgrader kit by selecting it and pressing the green button with an arrow for reroll. This will change the layout and allow players to select up to six items for "recycling". The item that is recycled will be exchanged for an item at level 1 similar to it. Rerolled items won't retain their current level or amount of resources needed to upgrade them.

The highest level of upgrade an item can achieve is determined by its tier and the quality. Rare and Epic items can be upgraded up to level nine, while common items are only upgraded up to level six. The upgrade of an item is added to the base statistics of the item. This means that they will not increase further after a certain level.
