Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

The process of upgrading an item, often called "upping," improves an item's stats. Each upgrade increment gives an increase in the linearity of the stats of a particular.

Players can recycle six items at a time to get a gauge of the upgraded component of each item. The cost of recycling items increases depending on their rarity and level.

Upgrade components

In Guild Wars 2, an upgrade of an item can be a method to boost the stats of your armor and weapons. This can be done through various methods that include using upgrade components and upgrading an item's mark levels or rarity. In addition, many items can be reforged, which can increase their stats.

Upgradeable items can be found in the game, both around the world and as rewards for missions. They can also be created by players. The primary method to upgrade equipment is by making use of upgrade components, which are the items that can be slotted into equipment. Most equipment comes with upgrade slots, and most require a certain upgrade level. Certain upgrade components offer specific bonuses, while others offer an overall bonus.

There are several types of upgrade elements in the game, including universal upgrades, inscriptions, and jewels. Universal upgrades, like gemstones and enchantments, can be placed on any type of equipment and offer lower bonuses than equipment-specific upgrades. Glyphs are only available in gathering tools. They offer a range of bonuses, ranging from increasing the speed at which an item upgrader mod gathers to supplying additional crafting materials.

Choose the item from your inventory, and then open the Upgrade window. The preview will appear on the right hand side of the screen. It will show the expected stats after the upgrade. If you don't have enough of either, the Upgrade button will be marked as Blocked.

The upper-right side of the screen shows the number of upgrade components required for a particular item upgrades. The cost of upgrading increases depending on the rarity and level of the item increase. However, you can reduce the cost by purchasing upgrades from a merchant, or trading them with other players.

Most weapons can be improved with a prefix, such as a rune, or an insignia, and others can be enhanced by adding an suffix. These upgrades change the name of the item to add an adjective, for example "Radiant" or "Minor Vigor. The only exceptions are the non-inscribable wands, the foci and shields from the Prophecies and Factions campaigns, which are not upgradeable with any kinds of mods.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to communicate visual information. They move to catch the attention of the viewers and trigger curiosity in the brain. The animation of glyphs mimics the body language, making them more effective in transmitting a linguistic barrier-crossing message. Glyphs also evoke a sense of familiarity in the brain, thereby increasing retention of the message.

Each glyph comes with a range of values that it can enhance a stat, as shown on the item when you open the glyph in the Glyph Storage or when you use them to enchant an artifact. This is the highest value that the glyph can increase a stat's value by but not the amount it actually increases it by. The value of the glyph is contingent on the tier and the quality of the product you are enchanting.

The majority of upgrade components that are inserted into items can't be removed or replaced without removing them, with the exception of legendary equipment and upgrades. If you have a rune or glyph you don't want to use but it hasn't been applied to gear yet, you can transfer the item to another piece by selecting the Upgrade Glyphs menu within the Glyphs Panel. This will create a Glyph Set that includes the selected glyph.

You can take out any glyph with the help of the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or an Ascended Salvage tool. The item on which the glyph is placed will be destroyed, but the upgraded item can be salvaged with the glyph shards.

When you take away an item after adding a glyph, the shards from the glyph will disappear. You can also add an inscription to your equipment to give it a bonus. Deferred Damage, for example can store damage, and be distributed slowly to the wearer instead of all at once. This is beneficial for those who take lots of damage from their enemies but don't want to be overwhelmed.

Reroll tokens

Reroll tokens let players change the affixes of their equipment and weapons, and can be found in a variety of ways, including in mistery boxes or as rare drops from skulled creatures, or by killing bosses. Every reroll grants the player an affix randomly chosen and usually better than what they had prior to. Reroll tokens can also be used to improve weapon stats to cause more damage or bonuses.

Items that have been rerolled may not appear in the upgrade menu, however, they can still receive upgrades. When you press the "upgrade button" you can recycle the items that have been rerolled. This will change the appearance of the window for the item, and allow up to six items be selected for recycling. Recycling an item adds small amount of points to its level gauge. This amount is determined by the rarity of the item and its own level, so items with higher levels are more valuable to recycle than lower-level ones.

Players can also make use of Reroll Tokens and Star Remnants to reroll Weapon Traits to upgrade units. Rerolls are based on a % chance for a weapon's trait. If it scores higher, then the weapon is upgraded. If it is lower the weapon is left as it was. Weapons can be upgraded up to three times.

A reroll is a good option to upgrade an item, however, players should be aware that it will reduce the total ilvl of the weapon by the number of rerolls used in order to increase it to its final ilvl. This lowering effect is most effective on Diadems and ring items that don't have other options for raising ilvls.

The system of rerolls has been criticised by players as being too expensive and it's more reasonable to let players pay for it using money or food items which would allow them to change their builds without wasting time and effort. However, paid rerolls are not something the developers want to incorporate at this point in the game's development. Instead, they're planning add an ability to change races in the future.

Leveling

There are a number of ways to increase the level of an upgrade to an item. The first is to increase the upgrade amount, which increases the value of an upgrade for the stat. The second option is to increase the effect of an upgrade, which can increase the damage or healing of a stat. The base item can be upgraded to an advanced upgrade type. Once this is done, the new item will keep its iLevel but it will have the upgrade effects of the upgraded item type.

When you upgrade items it is essential to remember that upgrades aren't always planned. Most of the time the chance of a better roll will be derived from glyphs, but there are also chances for greater or special rolls. The type of the item will determine the iLevel. If you upgrade a rare or exclusive item level upgrade to a unique item level upgrade type, it's likely to receiving a higher level.

Upgrades can be costly, especially if you are upgrading equipment from the standard track to legendary. The cost of upgrading an item will be contingent on its base iLevel as well as the number of levels to upgrade. Certain upgrade tracks require crests in order to get to the next level.

If you're lucky, your upgraded item will reach the highest level on its upgrade track and unlock a bonus effect. This will give you a substantial increase in the value of the item. The bonus effect will change with each upgrade level though. In general, the upgrade effect is increased a value of +3.

The iLevel also changes in accordance with the item's upgrade path and base level. For example an item that has been upgraded from being a rare or unique item to an outstanding one can be expected to gain the Enhanced Defence of the new base item upgrader kit.
