It is also relatively lightweight at just 11kg and comes with a carrying case so you can bring it on holiday or when moving house. The only extras you need to buy are a waterproof sheet and a co-sleeping safety strap. The instructions and illustrations are simple to follow once you open the box.

The Maxi-Cosi lora

The Iora is a bassinet designed for infants designed to help parents feel closer to their infant while they sleep. It can be adjusted both up and down, and moved through three different slide positions to fit under the parent's bed or in the corner so the baby is always in reach. The mesh siding is breathable, allowing air to circulate through and lets you glance at your child. You can also keep extra pajamas or supplies in the large bedside crib basket underneath.

Unlike some other smaller bedside cribs, the Iora can be folded flat and comes with a bag for travel bedside crib which allows it to be carried anywhere. Our mum testers found it easy to move from room to room and believed it was a great size for a bedside baby bed cot, not too big or too small. They also liked the large storage basket that is ideal for storing nappies or bedding.

This is a great option for parents who wish to co-sleep but don't want to share their bed. Or if one of the partners suffers from mobility issues such as back pain or arthritis.
